Channel 4 had Drop The Dead Donkey, Eurotrash, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Beavis and Butthead and The Word. We've been spoiled with the amount of bongo available on the internet. Back in the day you were doing well with a glimpse of Lolo Ferrari on a Friday night. In those days they never told you which game would the commentary game (and even then only the last 10 minutes of the first half and the entire second half - with the little "as we welcome listeners to the World Service" during the second half for some reason) so you'd be listening to see which reporters were at which ground to work out if you were the featured game. In the olden days they used to have Hammer House of Horror films intermingled with soft porn like Barbarella. A bit later on they had red triangle films on C4 which were a bit arty but very naughty. Getting SKY as a young teenager was an eye opener for me, the 10 minute free view, the German tv channel RTL which always seemed to have a scud movie on after 10pm, then we moved to cable and I got to enjoy the pleasures of topless darts.
