I can accept people slagging Sturgeon for her stance on independence but people slagging her for her ability as a politician just show that they don't really know what they're talking about.

Head and shoulders above the rest of the panel.

She definitely won the battle of the lunatic fringe last night. Easier game for her when playing the role of the opposition. All these people down south lapping up her rhetoric deserve a trip round her constituency to see exactly what things are like when she's running the show.

Her constituency, up until a fortnight ago was being run by Labour controlled Glasgow City Council. To what extent do you absolve them of any responsibility for the state of the area they were responsible for running?

Labour have been a joke in Glasgow and are part of the problem. Are we allowed to apportion any blame to Sturgeon here?

She was just as convincing when debating live on TV ahead of the Holyrood elections.

Not really, no.  Glasgow City Council are responsible for the "problems" you refer to, which, up until 2 weeks ago was entirely Labour's remit.

If the area is still as bad in 2 years, then you can throw your faux-outrage hissy fit about Govanhill.  As an aside, how often do you visit wee Nic's constituency?

"Part of the problem"? They're responsible for the day to day running of their authority area. If the place is a shitehole, they are quite clearly responsible. I'd imagine if the people themselves who live in the area blamed Sturgeon, they wouldn't be giving her 61% share of the constituency vote.

2 years?  Bloody hell.

Sturgeon barely got out of 2nd gear and still cruised it. She's been in plenty of debates over the last 5 years with better quality opponents, the likes of Farron and Nutall are cannon fodder.
