Shuggie_Murray7
I think Jamieson netted for Clyde at the weekend in a 2-1 win. He's scored 2 in their last 5.

I would hate to be involved with those again. As people have pointed out, if we did end up in them, it'll be off the back of a truly atrocious run of form and it'd be very hard to fancy our chances. @elvis I'd like to politely point out the difference between @FTOF pulling together a balanced, well-reasoned post, and someone just making 'we're doomed' their default position and claiming they were correct when it all goes wrong. The play-offs were horrible in 2019, but given we were a newly promoted club and the season we'd had it was a great achievement to stay up. We also went into them on pretty decent form. If we end up in them this time around it will be after a horrendous slump and you really wouldn't fancy our chances. IF we did win them, the likes of Tom English would be fully justified slagging off exuberant celebrations given we should have been nowhere near such a position.
starryfish
Aberdeen seem to have appointed Kevin Bain as physio, from a quick check online he seems to have been at St Mirren with Jim Goodwin, meanwhile the clubs are miles apart on their valuation of Charles Dunne according to reports today. Coventry Saint
A weekend without Saints has had the inevitable effect on me of making me feel somewhat optimistic again. I don't know why but I think we'll take something from the Hibs game.

Hard to put a price on the ability to fall to the ground every time the ball comes near you. If Goodwin can take any of his other ex-Motherwell players with him as well that would be much appreciated.

FFS, I was strongly of the impression that Bain was outstanding (based mainly on our players' prognosed recovery times vs the actual. This happened a lot.) Re Dunne, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens, which is much like the approach he sometimes takes while deciding whether or not to clear a football.
houston_bud
I like Dunne but if Aberdeen are willing to throw decent money for him then let him go. Offer some of it to Andy Considine.

He’ll end up at the old people’s retirement home down at Kilmarnock with his old boss, Del Boy.

Or Roy MacGregor will throw a few quid at him to entice him to Dingwall. I think he'd be a decent addition though, obviously fitness would be a concern but he's an experienced player and a very good defender at this level.
AW saint
Robinson should cast a glance Edinburgh way. No one is safe if results continue to go wrong. I want him to be a success but it is time to bag a win and soon
Doctor Sanchez
So, the Dundee v Fakes game this weekend. I'm thinking that a draw or a Dundee win would keen me relatively contended if paired with a St Mirren win or draw I suppose. We get pumped and Dundee lose and it'll be squeaky-Bum time.
ulysses
Some interesting comments from Robinson here. Namely that we’re appointing a Head of Recruitment and have 3 players signed up on pre-contracts already. https://news.stv.tv/sport/robinson-lasley-appointment-is-one-of-many-positives-at-st-mirren

Arch Stanton
Why does the club need a Chief Operations Officer AND a "Head of Recruitment"?

Though they are, we've had Fitzy doing both roles and before that, the supremely talented Brian Caldwell. Don't think it's a bad thing to have someone specialising in each role though.
