Might make sense to park at a train station between Glasgow and Edinburgh and  maybe get a couple of pre match pints , which will be out your system by the time you get into your car 4 hours later . I'm doing something similar.

Nah, will be having more than a couple of pints

If I was going down that route I’d just park in Glasgow and get a later train back from Edinburgh anyway

Stay over.

As the Festival is out the way, you should get a Premier Inn room for less than £1K?

I don’t like this tactic of moving Gogic into midfield late and putting Bolton into defence. That’s been done more than once

Okay if there are injuries or someone on a booking but I don’t think it’s a good idea to muck the defence about unless totally necessary.

Thing is he gets pushed into midfield both because it needs fresh energy, and other options are not better, and the bonus is it get Bolton match time in his legs too.

I'd quite like to see Bolton played at right back when Strain's burst after about 70 minutes.

Yip he's good there too.

The quality, from the likes of Bolton and others coming on as subs has increased a lot too - from last season and previous ones.

Found this statement from the club fairly odd.

"Ahead of Saturday’s home match against Hearts, the club would like to remind supporters of parking restrictions in and around The SMiSA Stadium on matchdays.

Parking is not permitted on any of the following roads around the Stadium on matchdays:  Well Street (north-west of Underwood Road); Murray Street; Greenhill Road; Drums Avenue; Clark Street; Craiglea Drive; Ferguslie Park Avenue (east of Tannahill Road); McKenzie Street; Stirrat Cresent; Stirrat Street.

The above streets form part of our rendezvous points (RVPs) for emergency services & spectators, and it is essential that all these roads are kept clear in case of emergency. These restrictions have been in place since we moved to the Stadium in 2009. Parking in these areas – as well as other permanent traffic restrictions around the area - could result in a parking fine being issued.

The club is aware of supporters’ concerns around matchday parking restrictions and we will continue to work with Renfrewshire Council on an ongoing basis to try to address those."

We have been at the stadium for almost 15 years now. Folk have been parking there on matchdays that entire time. Why is it now an issue all of a sudden?

Anyone going to tomorrow's game will now be asked to park a fair distance away for, what appears to be, no real reason at all.

Virtually the entire area around the stadioum is wasteland.

Very strange.

There have been occasions in the past when they have bizarrely decided to ticket cars for parking in certain locations where they normally park without issue at every other game, e.g. the Greenhill Road end of Murray Street.

When they decide to make use of these:

What a farce. The roads are surely wide enough to get emergency vehicles down?

Especially with larger crowds this is going to be more of an issue if they persist with this.

Maybe worth writing to councillors about it.

It's totally mad. Build a football stadium with plenty street parking around it, but ban parking for stadium events.

Petition needed or the club should use some of its land - even if they charge a few quid per event - but if they do, please let's make decent width spaces.

When we were leaving the area after the last home game, we drove past someone in a nearby side street who was taking photos of the traffic notices. Seems there might be a link to this story, perhaps an angry fan who was ‘randomly’ ticketed. So, be warned, nothing worse (well, there is but…) than getting a parking ticket when you have been ‘enjoying’ yourself at a game.

Some start to the season for you lot. Well done.

Thanks. We won’t relax until we hit 40points. It’s early days. Robbo has got a hard working squad. Great spirit in the camp but we all know it can easily change.

Big Zach has done exceptionally well given many opposition fans declaring us mad for making him our no1.

Another fine game today.
