Sorry Elvis, but that useless stat is out the window. I'm sure Robinson was super relieved at the end of the game to get that off his record.
pozbaird
Dundee at home with the Joe Shaughnessy return (applause), and the Carson return (boo). On the back of a thrilling win at a ‘big’ (pfffffttt) club, on a pristine Tommy Doc’ pitch, and what is predicted to be a return to summer. Record season ticket sales, a feelgood factor, and no doubt walk-ups increased due to today’s result. A visiting team who will bring a big support for their first away day, buoyed by an encouraging opening day result. A cracking atmosphere, all the elements in place, and the Panda Club in full squeak mode in the South. What can possibly go wrong?
tam the bud
That's me now off the ceiling Expected Hibs to come back in the 2nd half since they surely couldn't be as bad as they were. Nothing beats a late winner when your not expecting it.

Popular Post Buttocks Brown
Robinson post-match talking about how Olusanya came back "a different man" after the summer break. A lot of credit has to go the manager though. Didn't kick a ball for us last season and couldn't even get into a part-time team when out on loan; good chunk of the support written him off. How many other managers would have looked at mutual termination? Plenty. Not Robinson though. Gives the guy a chance, blank page, explains how he can improve, works with him on the training pitch, praises in the press... simple stuff, nothing radical but what a turnaround. It's looking like Main all over again. As with Curtis too, no doubt Toyosi would now run through a brick wall for SR. It's quite simply outstanding management and leadership. Brilliant to have him in charge of our club.

sergie's no1 fan
Alnwick played for Cardiff against Leeds today and the Czech Wall is currently playing against Sunderland. On the subject of keepers, Hemming looked fine today. Don't think he had much chance with either goal.

Defending left a bit to be desired at the goals but worth noting that Dunne and Bolton are likely to be starters when fit. Hemming was excellent, McMenamin and Olusanya were too. A great cross and header from Kiltie and Greive for the 3rd. Despite that nervy second half today was very positive. I watched Olusanya a few times for Arbroath last season and really didn’t think he had the quality to make the step up to the Premiership, because he was hardly a stand out in that division. But from his last few showings I might well be wrong. He’s absolutely rapid and his touch still leaves a bit to be desired but that was a tidy finish today, and he put in a proper shift. Hopefully him and Grieve take a bit of confidence from their goals today and push on this season.
sergie's no1 fan
Robinson saying he wants another striker in . Tanser (great game today btw) has no competition for his jersey and Fraser/Flynn covering Strain doesn't fill me with confidence.

Bolton can also play RB/ RWB, I think for us we are as sorted there as can be. I do agree Tanser needs competition as I don't ever want to see McMenamin playing there again!

He was also instrumental in the winner, getting the ball going forward quickly when all thought would have been to slow it down and preserve the point. I'm sure he will prove to be a fine keeper, the gnashing of teeth about him has been pretty disgraceful albeit from a small element of the support. That really was a magnificent win today. The last minute injury to Mandron will have resulted in rushed changes which just were not evident in our play. To then win the game having been pegged back having given our all and looking spent was the icing on an already delicious cake. Every single member of the playing and coaching staff take a massive bow, a superb start to the season.

Yeah, but just getting it out there rather than going down the ‘bring on the Dundee, easy the Mirren’ route. That can only bring me bad karma.

He could have moved out a bit to narrow the angle on the 1st one but Taylor and Gogic were guilty at both goals. Goga needs to be in the midfield, he's not as good a CB as some folk think. I know it's not a 1st choice, but once again we were short there. Lost 2 and added 1 (who is not fully up to speed yet). The top 5 last year had much more squad depth than us but have much more budget too.
