Any chance of another meeting at Caley tonight? Would love to hear Morrison and Gardiner trying to wriggle out of this one, absolutely tinpot stuff and clearly ZERO due diligence done on this whole fiasco

If it’s a pitch for the use of the local community and maintained by Fife Council you’d have to think they’d be looking for a lot more cash stumped up by Caley to help with that.

The community would also have to be put first when it comes to its use as it will be in effect their facility no?

Might be wrong but that’s another big can of worms opened up by the look of it

I imagine if this blows up the deal you could move 20 minutes down the road to Alloa. We had Dunfermline using ours for a few seasons until they secured their own training base.

Some great banter to come this year I can tell - Falkirk AGM fire escape style.

Apparently Fife Council have been very generous to Kelty Hearts and recently gave them a grant of £250,000 for  70 space car park but with the deal FC insisted that the car park is for the use of all of the community for other activities not just KH only.

It would seem that FC have put 7.5 Million into a new Kelty Community Centre next to KH hence the reason why FC want the car park to be used for all.

Looks like Gardiner did not do his homework on the total Kelty community infrastructure.

Na, not believing that for a second 😂

Funny as f**k that Kelty thought they'd get away with pocketing a load of money from an outside team while Fife Council are picking up the maintenance bill... and ICT didn't even question any of it!

What an absolute farce.  Still, at least they'll be able to save some money on transport, as the Caley board presumably all travel together in a comically small car, from which they all stumble forth one by one before commencing their important work of riding very small bicycles around and throwing custard pies and buckets of whitewash at each other.

Of course he did. The dug ate it.

Sorry lads, you'll have to come back tomorrow, the Boys Brigade have booked it..

The “Boys Brigade” made up of Kelty’s reserves.  Which is what happens whenever ICT tries to use the Highland Academy.

I am beginning to think the folk running ICT may be out of their depth here, but their own incompetence may just have saved them.

The logic seems to be that the club must remain full time, it absolutely must, but the club can't afford to be full time, it absolutely can't.

That might not actually be that far from the truth. A classic catch 22

ICT can't afford to stay full-time as they have to pay inflated wages/relocation expenses to attract players to the Highlands.

The alternative is go part-time, but that significantly shrinks the pool, and consequently overall quality, of players available to recruit.

Or shift the full-time training base to a location that removes the need of relocation expenses and creates a more manageable budget for player recruitment.

It's like being stuck between a rock and a hard place with an adjacent even rockier, harder place.

Who should we have handing over the official banter years baton from Falkirk to Caley?

I'm still shocked that the thread title hasn't been changed to the banter years yet.

Presumably we have to sign Brad Mackay for the official handing over.
