philpy
I'm speaking as an outsider here, but I genuinely cannot see Johnson surviving after that outburst. If I spoke out against my bosses like that I'd be out of a job, and if my boss slagged me off in public or blanked me, I'd be off.
Willie adie
Its reminiscent of John Hughes when he was at Inverness at started to make statements against the club and top brass
Tommy Tappin
Also interesting to read that Hibs are returning to the Dempster era recruitment model. You know, the one that got us to cup finals, Europe and still wasn't good enough for the fans.
VincentGuerin
I think Johnson has been regretting this move from quite early on. As far back as that League Cup group game interview when he was moaning about how amateurish it was to not have a Fourth Official. And his comments about the squad as the season has progressed show that he maybe hadn't quite done his homework before taking the job and didn't realise what he'd be working with. Hard to see him at the moment as anything other than someone looking for the bullet. All this stuff criticising the squad is reputation management for his interview in three months or so with Charlton or Portsmouth.
Zing.
Well it appears he’s somehow getting until Motherwell on Sunday at least. Makes no sense to me. Only hope is we are waiting to get this new structure in place then letting the new hires pick the next manager.

Hes almost definitely desperate to get sacked so he can scurry to the papers about how shite Scottish football is, to try and save his reputation in England. Be amazed if he doesnt label the entire league as some amateur, unprofessional, backwater the moment Hibs punt him.

Perhaps with someone else's team though.

Aye, he is another in a line of English based plonkers who simply dont do their homework and assume it will be a scoosh "up there". While the recruitment team at Hibs are also about to be removed and a new structure implemented, the manager has to carry some of the can for those players, and also his tactical errors, that starting lineup on Monday being the latest. His man management is appalling as well. I wouldnt worry too much about what he says, most of us have already switched off.
Stylish Kid
If not Johnson, who? Much as I love a derby win (GIRFU!), I feel for you guys. You seem to be in a bit of a bad spiral. It strikes me as there having been a lot of grass is greener - sacking Ross when not doing too badly, then giving Maloney zero time/support. Maloney at least actually cared. As others have pointed out, Johnson is very much coming across as out for himself now
Lyle Lanley
‘Newell is a player that Hibs will look to rely on to create chances in the second half of the season. If strikers are making the right runs, he will find them.’ Em what

Maloney should have had a DOF when he was appointed. Johnson can still go.
Chefki Kuqi
I just don't see us having done as badly under Ross as we have for the last wee while. You'd like to think he'd have been able to stop the board from signing such a quantity of dross and perhaps also play some of the younger lads, whilst also not having as many shit results. Pure conjecture and fantasy of-course, but something about having a new man in every 6 months just makes me think that someone there longer might have been able to put forth something resembling a plan over the last year. Granted we'd likely still not be in third and still not be winning big games so his head would likely be being called for throughout. As regards Maloney it was a fairly shocking decision to get rid. Whilst the jury is out on whether he'll ever have it in him to be a manger he seems like someone who again needs time and windows to get his personnel and his team imbedded. However some truly w**k decisions in signing Euan Henderson, having Caldwell as assistant and just generally being a little weird/lacking in charisma undermined the idea that this was a project that was ultimately going to work. That's part of the reason I'm almost advocating for Johnson to stay. I don't think we'll go out and get someone better, frankly we need to get a proper Director of Football type in before we start making more big decisions about the club. Plus, he might go on one of his wee winning streaks and all will be barry, until the losing streak starts that is.
