Apparently hasn't played a league game for anyone since December 2018. Much like Craig Gordon.

Celtic are the only club on the planet who see an ageing keeper demanding a huge amount of money, and decide the best plan is to tie them down to a really long deal on that money.

Is it because the other clubs won’t let your Colts into the SPFL?

Cardle is Magic
The wages are honestly insane. Even if he’s good it won’t be worth the money he’s getting paid. Where do they go when Hart starts chucking them in? Back to Barkas or Bain? Try Doohan?

Let’s be honest, 34 for a goalkeeper isn’t really a massive concern. Best keeper in the league just now is 39 and on 13k a week, Fraser Forster is 33 and no one would have batted and eyelid if we paid Southampton 1 mil and the player 15k a week. The only concern here is lack of game time and his ability to play in a system that he has struggled to do in the past. He isn’t my first choice but he will be a significant upgrade on the chuckle brothers Bain and Barkas Edited August 2, 2021 by Jinky67

Probably because Forster is a proven commodity and Hart is shite.

Moomintroll
Hart is a decent shot stopper who fucks up when he is faced with concentration issues. He might get away with throwing the odd one in vs good performances in OF games & Europe.

They don’t seem to have any plan and the approach to signings is totally scatter-gun. One thing I will say is that Ange is being very well backed financially by the board. You have watched Barkas and Bain aye? If so I’m sure you would agree our need for a keeper is pretty desperate
thepundit
Good signing for them to be fair, if he can rediscover his form. An improvement on what they already have even if he doesn’t.

I meant desperate as rather than scout properly and sign a good goalkeeper and bed them in, you decided to wait until your out of CL to sign one. It seems very scatter-gun to me. He may do well up here but again he’ll take time to settle and given you want to win the league, he won’t have a lot of time to settle in.
