DrewDon
Leonard has the support of the majority of Scottish Labour MPs, including a couple who I think backed Liz Kendall in the 2015 UK contest. That really doesn't say much for Sarwar.

Chair of SLab leadership hustings bans any Qs on candidates' "domestic circumstances and financial arrangements" ! Mr Sarwar I'm not allowed to ask you about sending your kids to private school or why your family firm doesn't pay the wage level the Labour Party is advocating so instead can I just ask why are you such a w****r?
NotThePars
I suppose you have to at least give the appearance that it's a fair fight.
MEADOWXI
Tom Gordon on twitter. Wow. Chair of SLab leadership hustings bans any Qs on candidates' "domestic circumstances and financial arrangements" ! Domestic circumstances I can almost buy, it could cover a lot of private and irrelevant matters.... But Financial Arrangements, As an MP and I assume MSP these have to be declared, and if you have no income from a company because your wife has all the shares and income is fair game for questioning, especially if it is your Dad's company and you have her the shares to hide the income. What a c**t

GTG_03
There's a part of me that wants to see the recovery of Scottish labour as it would be good for Scotland. Then I remember their behaviour over the years in response to being kicked out of government up here, hell mend them is where I'm at just now. Hope sarwar does get elected, sturgeon will slap him around at FMQ'S and Labour will continue shedding votes. That's their comeuppance for fighting against more devolution and phoning old people and telling them they'll lose their pension in 2014.Get it right roond ye!
NotThePars
If Sarwar gets elected the party is utterly finished in Scotland and quite right tbphwya. A Labour Party led by Leonard with figures like Rhea Wolfson can be a force for good in Scotland but dickheads like Blair MacDougall and Sarwar need marginalised and pronto.

The same Rhea Wolfson standing in the Glasgow streets shouting about how Labour demand equal pay for women and how it's a disgrace that the SNP hasn't delivered it yet? That Rhea Wolfson, or is there another one? ffs
Cerberus
Labour aren't even debating Brexit at their conference. The biggest event that is happening in Britain for at least a generation and they are talking unworkable shite like getting rid of student debt and nationalising expensive public services.

There must be loads of Party members fuming about it.

Seen a bit at dinner time and they done the balls in fishtank thing on daily politics Yes for single market No for hard brexit and got the folk at conference to pick one by the look of it it was about 5 to 1 in favour of staying in. After that they had a guy from momentum denying the had strong armed folk not to mention the B word. They then had hard core socialist Lord Prescott on so I had to turn it off as I was wanting to enjoy my sandwich.

They've promised to buy out ALL the PFI contracts, deliver a deal outside the EU with magical access to the SM which is better (wtf?) than what we have now and spend the same in the north as they do in the south on infrastructure.I'm no fan of ideological austerity but, just promising us a gold plated unicorn each is pretty cynical and will hopefully lead to some rioting and the odd lynching if/when they come to power and they cannot deliver.
HTG
They have even less of a position to take on Brexit than May and her mob. I doubt if Labour has any consensus on the matter. The tories have been through that and are now just focusing on making a c**t of the country. It would be laughable to see the current Labour leadership steering through Brexit. Sturgeon should be laying into them and prepping Indy2 right now.
NotThePars
I don't think Labour needs any consensus on the matter since no clear cut stance on the matter and a social democratic manifesto allows them to pick up the large amount of Brexit voters pissed off at austerity economics while retaining Remainers who will vote for a party that has clearly identifiable commitments beyond just staying in the EU (the Lib Dems).
