With two other live games, contractually only one 3pm kick-off could be covered in that way. They do now seem to have an extra game with a couple of additional angles and dubbed-commentary (St Mirren v Motherwell was the lucky choice this round) but the production standards are nowhere near that of a 5+ camera OB. Had they led with Falkirk v Hearts, or put it second, people would have been on here complaining that a game they showed live only a few hours ago was on so early. A classic case of them not being able to win no matter what they do.
jimmy boo
Aberdeen players appear to be instructed to play dead after the lightest of touches. They are the worst at the play acting nonsense.

For me, Ayr v St Johnstone looked the most attractive fixture in advance, but got the cursory treatment.

I'll never ever understand why a shite game gets bumped up the running order simply because theres more cameras at that game.

Muzza81
Why do people, mainly St Johnstone fans, care about the running order of a highlight show? The same games are going to get shown regardless. Weird thing to get worked up about.

I havent seen the highlights yet, but both Willie Miller and Richard Gordon commented on Cosgroves diving yesterday..........which shows you how bad it must have been. Both stopped short of calling him a cheat but Gordon did say that in one challenge he was on his way down before the tackle even arrived.
Boghead ranter
Miller described the Aberdeen game as a 'damp squid' at one point yesterday, and even Chic was ripping the pish out of him. Surely that's got to be the lowest point of anyone's life. EDIT - meant for the Sportsound thread, but hey ho. A classic case of them not being able to win no matter what they do. It's the selection of those matches is the issue. An OF win against a bottom six Premiership side, and two other fairly uninteresting all Premiership ties.. are these really the most exciting matches of the card yesterday? Inverness v Livi and Ayr v Saints were teams from the division below at home to a Premiership sides, and had great potential for a cup shock. Agree about Falkirk v Hearts, would have been one of the first games shown but no need after the whole game has just been shown live. Except they usually do exactly that if the BBC have just shown Celtic v Partick or someone v Rangers, that game will still lead the way in the highlights.
