I'm not thick (I'm downright intelligent, erudite and witty), but I suspect I may be somewhat of a social retard.

I'd say most of the forum are socially retarded to some degree and feel more comfortable with socialising online.

I'm pretty upset at being mentioned. Considering I have a degree and recently used the word allegory it seems deeply unfair.

We could fill a page of P&B with words, people and cultural references that have sailed over your head (not that they have to sail that high).

This is also true. I never knew what s vignette was until you came into my life.

I'm glad you're expanding your horizons anyway, using big words and going to Italy to see how the chips compare to those served in Edinburgh.

I want to go to the pub with Shandon and throbber.  I'll ply them both with drink and when they each go the toilet I'll tell them the other has been talking about them, saying mean things, mocking them.  Eventually they'll both get more and more angry and start fighting and I'll sit back and watch them tear each other to pieces, like rabid, flabby dogs.

I think there'd be one tearer and one tearee and I don't think the one who boxes in his spare time would come off worse.

Maybe Chris would have invited you to the get together had you not been such an instantly forgettable and irrelevant human being.

Craig Burley Mcculloch has avoided a mention so far.
Thick and repetitive.

As we are constantly reminded on here, he is either:
(i) blind or,
(ii) deaf
Doesn't stop him from being a grade 'A' thicko, though.

What a pair of c***s.

Why is throbber such an unpleasant individual? Maybe people wouldn't list you as one of P&B's thickest posters if you were a bit nicer to people, Throbber?

I'm not unpleasant all the time though, just occasionally take it too far but it usually comes after being provoked.
