Dee Man
As well as council/counsel, we also have, "... a team able to competed in Europe". For a bunch of fans obsessed with all things English, they don't have a very good grasp of it.
deerokus
I noticed today they seem to have convinced themselves twenty million quid is still coming because of stuff like '5m for shirt sales' and '3m from hummel'. So not only do Rangers have no running costs to pay from that money, as discussed already, but is that how shirt sales work, aye? The manufacturer takes all the costs, pays for the privilege of doing this and then passes on 100% of the sales as well. Interesting business model. Cerberus
Has King told Gerrard he's going to get £5020 million to spend on players only for it to be £6 million including wages and fees?

rainbowrising
Has King told Gerrard he's going to get £5020 million to spend on players only for it to be £6 million including wages and fees? as far as I understand he claims a share issue for £6m but doesnt say how much is for buying players.
hellbhoy
This hasn't been mentioned either although the **** aren't too bothered about paying the HMRC taxes at all. They haven't factored in that they need to pay tax on sales, 20% to be exact. The war-chest just shrunk by at least another £4 million. Shocking revelations like that can really upset the **** no end and can dampen the quest for that all elusive 1st/55th title famine.

The exact wording is could raise up to £6 million. But I assume that the bears will will dig deep or the share issue will be really disappointing and a bit of a damp squib.

hellbhoy
From the BBC website. Quote Rangers had received £17.7m in loans from shareholders and other investors by the turn of the year and subsequently borrowed a reported £3m in a short-term finance deal with bankers Close Brothers. Nearly £21 million in debt and counting. I wonder how much Sevco had to pay back to the Close Brothers for their Wonga type short term loan?
Cerberus
So now that the Ge55ard maggot thrashing is over, King still has no money or pals and Gerrard thinks "the Jock league is shite" and filling the team dross from EF League 1 will be enough to fire the 'Gers to #55.

Always a good point bringing up VAT, the oft forgotten (and proportionatly hefty) business cost. Also the 'other stuff that costs money' that never gets factored into any equation takes up plenty of cash but is never given any consideration. I'm sure Ibrox doesn't run itself for free, for example.

C4mmy31
Following a court ruling, King has to submit an £11m offer to buy out other shareholders, offering investors 20p per share for the share capital not already controlled by him and three partners. And King said: "Two weeks ago the Takeover Panel said they were unhappy with the funds being held in South Africa and they would like them to be relocated to the UK to be held in a UK bank account in sterling. "I said that would require an extension of the offer because I can't get the money into the UK, open a bank account and get the various KYC (know your customer) things you have to do with the banks to make the deadline, and they didn't grant the extension. So that is where we are now. "I have gone back to them and I said I will take that under review. It makes no difference to the funding or ownership of the football club. "I said, 'let's accept the Takeover Panel will not be resolved in the next couple of weeks, let's go ahead with the rights issue as it is with the restrictions I have in participating'." And King says he will increase his personal investment in the club. "I have to do that, I have already done that, in advance of next season," he said. "Because we continue to run at a deficit, deliberately, we have to satisfy the licensing authorities, the SFA, Uefa, that you have sufficient funds to fund your deficit. "So we have had to give cash guarantees in advance of next season. So whether we raised money in a rights issue or not, we are in for the money, I am in for the money, I am underpinning the cash. The club is fully funded for next season." -
