anotherchance
Thought we were ok - part of the challenge as a top 2 team in this league is to break down the Hearts, Partick Thistles and Accies of the world when they come up and sit back. As McInnes alluded said post match, it’s the kind of game where hopefully McGinn can add some extra potency.Hearts fans seemed overjoyed with their point at the end. RandomGuy.
No, the gameplan was to sit in and hit Aberdeen on the break and it would have worked perfectly if it weren't for incompetent finishing/final passes. We had at least 4 or 5 very good openings, including two missed sitters. Aberdeen fans must be the biggest moaning-faced c***s around. Every time we play they've got some sort of fucking grievance. Every time they fail to win its because the other team either has a bigger budget, or kicked them off the park. We beat them 5-1 and there was still some of them claiming they rather support a losing team than watch our "rugby tactics"

DrewDon
You can see the moment after Lafferty's tackle where Shinnie remembers that he better not react as he is only a yellow card away from a two game ban.
naegoodinthedark
Think both sets of fans will be quite happy with the state of things going into the break. A good new year to you all.
gkneil
Hearts set up perfectly. It wasn’t pretty, and I hated their style but if I was a jambo I’d expect my manager to play to the team’s strengths.Fairly even first half, but we had the better of the second with Shinnie at LB giving us a bit more out wide. McLean was better sitting deeper where he normally does in the 2nd half. Wasted chances and some good goalkeeping from Hearts did for us. 2 great chances spurned by Isma, Hearts will be raging at that.Disappointed by Christie constantly shooting from distance in the 2nd half. A bit more composure and patience was needed.

We didn't just sit back and play for the draw we tried to hit them on the break. Counterattacking football can be quite entertaining to watch and both teams should have scored a couple but for good saves or missed sitters. 2pac
I personally thought it was pathetic players throwing shirts in the crowd celebrating a 0-0 draw

BucksburnDandy
Hearts got the point they came for. A game that both sets of fans thankfully can wipe from the memory banks.Only points to make: GMS hopeless against any team with physicality, John Beaton cannot play advantage, Berra, Souttar and Shinnie all making strong Scotland squad claims. Also the sectarian singing from the Hearts young team was pretty embarrassing. Leave it to the arse cheeks from Glasgow lads eh. Hearts should be above West Coast crap like that.

bpdon
Berra, Souttar and Shinnie all making strong Scotland squad claims. And McKenna who was once again very good yesterday. Considering some of the dross Scotland have had to endure at centre back in recent years, his performances must be getting attention.

Agree with all the above other than the omission of McKenna from that list of players. Every bit as good a player as Souttar and taller, stronger, and faster also. Albeit with less experience in the top flight as yet. The fact that they're the u21 national team pairing now would suggest a strong future in the centre of defence for the national team. Both excellent players tbh.
