Incidentally, how do you suppose the policies you mention are changed/enacted?
Do you think they'll just magically happen one day?
Or perhaps by keeping the issues in the public eye through activism those in charge might actually have to take notice and do something?

So black people are still not allowed to drink out of water fountains, have to sit in their own areas on a bus, are banned from certain shops etc?

Also attainment has remained low for black people since then and hasn't seen an increase? Employers still discriminate loads and that number definitely hasn't dropped aye?

Even 'smaller' (but no less dreadful things) like monkey chants at football grounds are now very rare and always treated with the absolute disgust they merit?

Aye, you're right, things haven't changed at all. Not a bit.

Removing potentially offensive scenes ruined the dramatic denouement in "the intergalactic 147" in Dangermouse. The whole thing relied on people on different sides of the world jumping while those on the other side landed (thus causing the "blue ball" to move out of the way of an incoming cue ball). The scene involved highly stylised representations of chinese people and african tribes people jumping en masse.

New Dangermouse is fucking shit. Terry Scott was brilliant.

I blame these do gooding liberals for virtue signalling.

Haha, whoops!

My general point still stands. There has been an 'improvement' since then, although sadly as we've seen recently there is still a long way to go, especially in many areas in America.

That's a bit much. Gets dangerously close to doxxing, intended or not.

There's less identifying information in the clearly mocked up twitter page than on his p&b account.

You know what doxxing means right ?

That's going to have to be a big citation needed for the bits in bold I'm afraid.

Reads like someone has made an anti racist statement on facebook and you've immediately decided they are virtue signalling arseholes who don't actually do anything. Understanding why something is or may be racist isn't the same as being offended on behalf of someone either, btw.

As for the last, there's no mutual exclusivity in recognising that parts of our culture aren't as inclusive as they could be and tackling crime and poverty lol, that's something you've made up in your own head.

As for people walking about holding a card up? Well that's the sort of direct action that has turned systemic racism in the Western world into one of the most widely discussed topics in 2020, a year when there was a presidential election and a worldwide pandemic (and Patrick Thistle were demoted!). So that's by it's very nature successful. If you thinks that's divisive and therefore a bad thing then sorry but you're wrong. The civil rights protestors were divisive, as was just about any mass social or political movement ever.

It honestly sounds like what you're saying is that you just don't want anti racism to effect you because you're a nice, rational guy who likes rap and David Goggins.

I think the politically correct term is 'placed in a lower league'.
