I'm pretty sure Borough Briggs is still exactly the same as it was in 1960.

More than can be said for Telford Street and Kingsmills I'm sure.

Maybe but still a good wee ground - well worth a visit.

Did I hear right? The Guffball Globetrotters are playing a match in Edinburgh against Lyon next week!?

Any Scot attending this match, or worse, taking their offspring, needs correctional therapy punishment in a Clockwork Orange style watching 100 hours of Scottish Football non-stop.

I'm so pissed off that couldn't think of any other thread to vent my anger so, in-keeping with thread topic, here's Denis Law lining up for the Rest of the World at Wembley in 1963...

There really should be a boycott and protest over this match in Edinburgh though...

Jim Baxter one of the subs and Law scored the ROW goal.

I didn't notice or realise Baxter's involvement too!

This match must've taken place after our 1-2 victory there at the same venue that same year.

Baxter scored two in the 1-2 victory against the Auld Enemy, including a penalty (below), in which he claimed, it was the first penalty he had ever taken at any level of football.

Despite his unfortunate club affiliations, I can't help but admire the panache Baxter displayed as a player.

Jim Baxter came on as a sub for the 2nd half. Just noticed another Scottish connection as the ref was Bobby Davidson.
