naegoodinthedark
Was it Stephen Glass that won the Mountain Bike for being named motm in the League cup final in 95? Aye, sure he rode it round a bit.

DA Baracus
Almost certainly the same bike. Probably a £60 Halfords effort that Coca Cola stuck a bit of advertising on. Incidentally the fact that a company like Coca Cola sponsored the cup then shows how shite successive regimes at the SFA, SPL, SFL and SPFL have been at getting sponsors. They'd absolutely kill for a sponsor like Coke these days (as would the member clubs).

A few weeks later, the match was staged again. We'd had a couple of home games since that had been fine, so the problem had clearly been sorted. Of course, another power failure in the rearranged game yielded the same result. Ross County seemed annoyed. No idea why. We eventually had to play them in Stirling. I went to both of those fucking matches.

Griff Sheridan
Not SPFL, but during Berti Vogts reign as Scotland manager, he promised the fans "something special" before a game at Hampden. This transpired to be Barry Ferguson and one other running towards the West Stand before the game with a Scotland flag the size of a tea-towel. They half-heartedly waved it for five seconds before deciding it was shite and stopping. red23
I'd say the Scottish premier league and SFA trying to bend all sort of rules to get Rangers in to the top division being pretty tin pot, I no longer go to games as a result. The games a bogey.

We were also promised something special we'd love by, I think, Craig Brown. This amounted to the team holding up individual letters to spell out 'Thanks fans x'.

It won't happened. It's tinfoil hat stuff to think that'd be allowed. etc etc. The amount of naive, blinkered fans in Scottish football is killing the game.
