Clyde going into this on the back of a WIN, Peterhead on the back of a loss !!!

Hardly a statement the respective supporters are used to recently but nevertheless it is what it is. Clyde to me have been better than their results against Peterhead however seem to collapse when the game is going away from them. Peterhead beaten but not bowed by Dumbarton look to get back to winning ways in their quest for the Div 2 Title but as usual it will depend on their defensive performance.

If the Peterhead midfield create and the defence defend can only see a Blue Toon win, however if Clyde can put McCracken, Robertson and Brown under pressure it will be interesting.

Peterhead need to forget that cup game and put the same effort into this game ..Battered Dumbarton for most of the second half and should have at least got a replay..Clyde beating Montrose last week was bit of a surprise  but shows how tough this league is ..A narrow win would be brilliant  but a draw wouldn,t be a disaster with 3 games in hand..

Srappy game. Peterhead with more half chances but only real effort on goal was a Millar shot saved by Fleming.

They're obviously a better side and a big threat at set pieces but we're competing well with a bit of running in the team.

Very pleasing.

Conditions probably favoured us slightly. In the teams we've put out since, we've reacted perfectly to the defeat by Stenny. We've acknowledged that while we don't have the ball, or it's up in the air for contest, we need a line of five on the park somewhere. In making the midfield a five, using Millar the way we have, bringing Cuddihy and Lamont back in from the dark, getting more pace, ball-keeping skill and width about the team, all the while solidifying the four with Home, Lang and Stewart... We've calculated the risk of conceding against that of not scoring very well.  So much so that I'd say if, using the same team next week, we won... I'd no longer be arguing for 3-5-2; Lennon's approach would clearly be the more likely to get us a win. Though both approaches would stave-off Stenny-like results, of course.

If we made one or two more good signings: a more solid McNiff and a more mobile Nicoll, we could finish the season on a real high.

What a difference our effort today was terrific closing down players and we had players who were prepared to run at players
Thought two standouts today Lang and Lamont but in truth no
failures today have given cuddihy stick throughout the season thought he played well today , big Nicol although missed placed a few passes but his break up play and general attitude was excellent and of course DGW total class as ever
Excellent result hopefully the start if a good run

Two wins in a row! When did we last manage that in the league?

I don't think either side played particularly well. Goodwillie's goal was about the only real chance of the game.

Currie never had a save of note to make in the Clyde goal but there was plenty of miss hit clearances and heart in the mouth moments to keep it nervy.

Lang looks a decent prospect composed on the ball and snuffed most threats down the right.
