vikingTON
Having a DRS on the start-finish straight was a stupid idea and made passing on the main straight far too easy in the race. The Bus Stop chicane used to be a scene for collisions but drivers are just waiting for the double DRS benefit instead.

JamesP_81
it proved it worth [/url] I think this is really the first incident in the season where the halo has been in the thick of it and would have to say that it has been a tick in the right box for its case. I've heard people say about the bottom picture ' look at the marks on the halo, that just saved that guys life how could anyone have ever been against this'. And while I would agree it was in the right place I'm not entirely convinced that it 'saved his life', there have been over the top crashes like that for decades without injury with varying degrees of protection none more relatable than alonso at the same corner in 2012. What I will give it tho is that it undoubtedly reduced the % chance of a freak occurrence by stopping the wheel and front wing assembly from rotating across the front of the cockpit.Still not sure I'd fancy having a halo on if I was upside down in a gravel trap or driving top speed thru a crash scene with fresh debris deflecting all over the place off it but so far I'd say its slightly winning its case for inclusion so far this season. The Golden God
Vetell is 8/11 to qualify on pole on Saturday. Great value surely, Hamiltons dummy spit at Spa shows the Ferrari is much faster in the straight line

Mackie The Staggie
Got to hand it too Mercedes, they actually called a really aggressive strategy when the opportunity arouse and Hamilton and Bottas ran it perfectly. Ferrari's constant focus on the Super Softs meant it was an unknown quantity when the moved to the softs. Max needs to learn not to move in the braking zone, imo a 5 sec penalty was not enough. I think it’s more the point that Mercedes know when to sacrifice their diddy driver for the purpose of the championship, unlike Ferrari.
