Andy Robertson has been excellent for scotland over his 34 caps. The last campaign I agree his form dipped but that was 6 games of the 34 caps -also he was man of the match against cyprus- 2 of the 6 were against San Marino where he done well. Seems like a lot of fans on here quick to base all his performances on 3 games in the last campaign without looking at his performances over 34 caps.

I'm not jumping down the tired route of pointing at him and saying he's shite.  He's been good for us, and is easily our most talented player, but he isn't the same player he is for Liverpool and that's the whole point.  We can't just look at club form and expect that to translate 100%.

Yes you have said that repeatedly for a while now.

Ive not read one person say anything remotely like that they expect club form to translate 100%.

But by all means just keep saying it, it's riveting stuff.

Why can’t we expect players to transfer club form to the national side for the decent nations its the principle reason, why they are picked.

Sterling is the same level for England as Man City

Because the level of players Sterling plays for England with isn’t massively different to those at Man City.

The difference between Robertson at Liverpool and Scotland is even hard to quantify. Its a lot easier to bomb forward for Liverpool when you have the best centre back in the world to cover for you. Turning round and seeing the likes of McKenna beside you he is bound to play the safer option.

Because the Welsh players have struggled in last wee while with Bale playing for them right enough.

Bale has basically been given a free role in the team.

Pretty ballsy doing that with our best player who is a left back when the rest of our back four have been questionable at best at international level.

And that's him on the pitch now. Perfect. Sounds like McGinn is a few weeks off a comeback and Tierney just a little more than that. Fingers crossed for all three being available in just over a month's time.

Absolutely, but only if all 3 are fully fit and have had some game time before the International “double header” match(es) come around. I suspect we can write Tierney off, but it would be great to have him there and let’s not forget the other boost of Griff playing regularly again and scoring goals.

Agreed we can’t have players using scotland players to get their fitness levels up for club games

The guys average mate, surely your pal Cristiano would enlighten you with that.

Aye, average. Lol

Blimey! You’ve unearthed a rarity there JLD. He should’ve stuck to posting about posters though. Football not his strong point clearly.
