Trogdor
A cup quarter final on Monday night? An utter nonsense. It's the Scottish Cup, not the fucking League Cup or the diddy Challenge Cup Edited February 16 by Trogdor
No_Problemo
I know it won’t make any difference but can Kilmarnock, Ayr and Falkirk made a joint representation around the lack of thought to fans when there are perfectly fine slots on Saturday and Sunday evening… It would get some publicity around the continuous lack of thought for fans from our national broadcaster and the SFA.

A Monday night is a really shit time for a game of football. Given the SPFL like to crow about having the highest attendances per capita in Europe (see below): https://spfl.co.uk/news/spfl-once-again-tops-europes-match-attendance-ta Maybe we should be encouraging fans to attend not making it more difficult for them? It’s all done to suit the Ugly sisters , Kilmarnock fans having to travel to Inverness on a Friday night is just as bad , absolutely no reason that the games could all be played at the weekend , utter disgrace

It’s not just them, the TV deal across different providers doesn’t help. Viaplay will always pick the old firm games so the BBC will then move us about to suit their schedules. Having only one provider, they would probably have only picked the two games, Saturday and Sunday.

Thereisalight..
Monday night football is grim especially for a QF. Inevitable the OF would be on viaplay on Sat/Sunday and the other two ties shafted to a Fri/Mon. Pish
Roxanne's man
Was wanting to take the wee man to Falkirk That's that idea scrapped. Can't do that on a school night, we'd get back home at silly o'clock at night. Not fair at all on any other team and literally puts emphasis on the fact that they jump to suit the old firm, with only interest in the top two teams in Scotland. One of the biggest issues here is the fact that the actual clubs are gaining virtually nothing out of it due to the TV deal being so pathetic but their fans are still being screwed over. If it was like the old days and we were getting a £100k+ for being on TV then the sacrifice may be worth it (although still not perfect) but it seems an awful large price to pay for a paltry £24k or whatever it is. It could also be argued that for many of the games the clubs could be much worse off with the TV money as that wouldn't offset the difference in attendance figures due to the occasional fan deciding to watch on TV rather than actually attending the game. When you add up lost revenue in gate receipts, catering sales / social club, programme etc then the clubs are really gaining little to nothing.
Guest
Compared to England we're being screwed right over, The Emirates FA Cup Season 2022-23 Payments made from The FA's prize fund First round proper winners (40) £41,000 Second round proper winners (20) £67,000 Third round proper winners (32) £105,000 Fourth round proper winners (16) £120,000 Fifth round proper winners (8) £225,000 Quarter-final winners (4) £450,000 Semi-final winners (2) £1,000,000 Semi-final losers (2) £500,000 Final runners-up (1) £1,000,000 Final winners (1) £2,000,000 Amounts are per club in each round. Numbers in brackets represent the number of clubs receiving the respective payment per round. Additionally, The TV money is, The Owls take on Newcastle United on BBC One on Saturday night before the Whites are in action against Cardiff City on ITV on Saturday afternoon. Both clubs are set to receive a guaranteed fee of approximately £144,000 for appearing on TV, meaning regardless of progress that the two Yorkshire sides will earn a six-figure boost this weekend. If games go to a replay and the match is broadcast, clubs will pocket an extra £72,000.
Guest
Scotland needs to get it's own TV stations and deals negotiated, it's an absolute joke that "Scottish Television" doesn't show any Scottish Football but is happy to bombard the Scottish Viewer with English Football (both men and women). As for the BBC, again they're only interested in England and we're just left with a 3rd rate service and to feed on scraps. SKY and BT have no interest at all in Scotland or Scottish sport but is happy to bombard us with English Non league stuff and non stop American sports, meanwhile our country gains absolutely nothing from them apart from the odd Old Firm game when they've nothing else to show. It's time we had a broadcaster looking after OUR interests the way you do in every other normal country in Europe.
Rodders1910
Any of these busses for the Falkirk game doing pick ups in Glasgow?

There is a big vacancy in this country and it sounded like you were throwing your hat in the ring towards the end there!
