Fixtures conundrum

Wishaw still have 6 league matches to play, and could make the play-offs if they win them all. They are also still in the Central League Cup, so they could have as many as 12 matches still to play.

Pollok are still in both the Central League Cup and the West of Scotland Cup, both only at the 3rd round stage, so they have a possible 8 further cup ties still to be played.

There may be other examples that I can't think of right now, but how on earth can this all be scheduled in the 18 days we have left in the season up to 15th June ?

It looks like the play-offs and the cup finals may all need to be midweek.

Wishaw can play mon, tue, wed, thu, fri and sat

1957/58 end of season we played Saturday, Monday (with 30 mins extra time), Tuesday, Wednesday (with 50 minutes extra time), Thursday and Saturday.  Won 4, drew 1, lost 1. So it can happen.

Beith and talbot could have as many as 9 to play quarters of west and Ayrshire 1 league game and one of the them will win the league giving them chance of 2 evening cup ties

Cambuslang played 2 games on the same day at Somervell circa a Saturday in June 1972, winning both.

St Rochs in the afternoon & Baillieston in the evening. Both opponents had cracking teams at the time.

Better still, the draw for the WR Championship play-off (Neilston/Wishaw and Whitletts Vics vs Shettleston and Maryhill) still hasn't been made, and the next Management Committee meeting isn't till the evening of Tuesday 12th June - work out the implications of THAT!

is a draw required for play offs?

Yes, because the 4th placed teams in the District Leagues need to be given opposition between Shettleston and Maryhill, one who finished above the other.

More fixtures have been added in the West and Ayrshire cup.  Winners of Beith/talbot go to Kilwinning on Monday night and Beith are playing Cumnock in the west  on the Wednesday night.

Edit

all fixtures in the Ayrshire cup now up on website.  Final at meadow park on the 9th of June

nearly all fixtures for the west of Scotland cup are now up.  No dat for final but looks to me it’s going to be midweek.
