Fixtures conundrum

So if Beith keep winning it looks like their next ten days could be something along the lines of:
Mon 4th Ayrshire Semi
Wed 6th West Quarter
Sat 9th Ayrshire Final
Mon 11th West Semi
Tue 12th Evening Times Semi
Wed 13th West Final
Thurs 14th Evening Times Final
Don't be ridiculous, there is no need for such a compact programme, they could play the final of the ET on Friday, 15th!!!

could actually be some trophy haul for them.

fully expect them to win the ET unless they have players missing for holidays and stuff.

And their tails will be up after the weekend.

Evening Times final won't be on the Friday as it's no use to the Evening Times.

I think you missed the point of my post, but out of curiousity why is a Friday final no use to the ET?

The season's got to be over prior to the AGM the next day. I know both are unlikely, but there's a reluctance to schedule stuff for the night before it in case of a postponement or abandonment.

They hardly sell any papers on the Saturday, so they won't want the final on the Friday night.

They must have been really annoyed when it was on a Saturday afternoon last season then.
It got full coverage in the Monday paper, the Saturday paper is finished and ready to print by Friday teatime. If you get a copy of the Saturday edition then you will see it's about half the thickness of the weekday run. And Lord knows, the weekday edition has been bad enough for quite some time.

It makes The Record looked like The International Herald Tribune.

Not sure where it is this year, but it would probably necessitate a morning kickoff.

A soulless sports centre miles from the centre of Perth. No refreshments on offer or available anywhere close. Thank God this will probably be the very last SJFA AGM.

We are waiting on confirmation of a rearranged date for yesterday's postponed Glencairn v Pollok match.

Wednesday night (6th June) seems obvious to most people we've spoken to, but there's still nothing on the West Region website.

Don’t hold your breath waiting on that fixture anytime soon
