7-2
There should be neutral doctors for games as they have at other sports.
Jambomo
There should be neutral doctors for games as they have at other sports. Agreed. I wonder how much pressure there is on the doctors to clear players as fit? That said, they are professionals and as such, should be making sure the first thing they do is look after the health of the players.
Ginaro
10 minutes ago, Mark Connolly said: Football needs to introduce HIAs as soon as possible. It's such a simple thing to do, given the amount of protection it offers to players and medical staff. Temporary substitutions are needed for HIAs to work, otherwise teams will just continue to ignore player welfare so they aren't playing with 10 men. It's not rocket science, make it so that if a player doesn't come back on within 10 or 15 minutes for blood or a head injury then the replacement is permanent. If all three subs are used then only subbed players can come back on. 5 minutes ago, Jim McLean's Ghost said: It looked like someone on the Ajax bench was trying to tell the ref he was done. Ref comes over looks at him then asks the Tottenham doctor if he cleared him. Not much the ref can do there. He has to assume the Tottenham doctor isn't corrupt and unwilling to endanger their patient. Not a good look for Spurs. Think the ref just went over to the Ajax manager to tell him why he stopped the game, looked like the fourth official did a great job to call the referee over instead of just telling the ref he was fine to come back on. This is why you can't trust players, and you can't trust doctors who haven't done a proper HIA for 10 minutes with the players to decide if they are ok to continue.

throbber
Spurs might be doing a bit better but they still look like the away side here and Ajax look like the have another goal in them.
accies1874
Unless they end up being in a position to see the game out, which seems unlikely, Spurs have no one worthwhile on the bench.
resk
That Ajax keeper appears to be properly two footed. I'm sure he hoofed a goal kick with his right foot earlier and now he's biffing passbacks fkin miles with his left. This concludes my expert tactical analysis.

Shtuggie
I know everyone is excited by Ajax, but this really is as poor quality a champions league semi as we have seen for a few years.

eez-eh
Not surprising to see the petulant wee fannies that make up the Spurs team have started losing the rag and lashing out when things aren’t going for them.
