Israel lobby v Corbyn

Depends on the interests of the individual person. Whether they're white or not is irrelevant.

The post you’re responding to contains a quote about ‘white racial self interest’. So clearly in that context it is important that they are white. Do you think white people need to consider their own racial self interest?

There are reports that a newly elected official from the left slate is being investigated for a tweet describing Israel as an Apartheid state.  I'll be surprised if it goes any further though as it's much harder to smear people in a forum where they have legal representation as the ECHR found out.

It's all about stifling criticisms.

Yes, Gemma Bolton, who tweeted years ago "If I run the risk of getting suspended for calling Israel an apartheid state then so be it"

Remember when it was actually accepted that conflating any criticism of Israel with antisemitism was itself antisemitic?

Good thing that, of course, there is nothing factional about these investigations. Imagine for example it was revealed that in their younger days Jeremy Corbyn, John McConnell or Diane Abbot had been the editor of a magazine which ran an article arguing it was necessary for the PLO to arm themselves "to prevent holocaust at the hands of either the Zionists or reactionary Arabs."

Invoking the holocaust in criticism of Israeli policy is antisemitic, as per the IHRA definition which was also formally adopted by the Labour Party. Had any of them been in that position then despite only being an editor of the magazine rather than author of the article there's little doubt they'd have been expelled from the Labour Party - talking about Zionists committing a holocaust is highly offensive and unacceptable.

Good thing then that it wasn't Corbyn, McConnell, Abbot, Long-Bailey or anyone else on the left who were editors of a magazine which carried such an article. No, in reality that was a certain... Keir Starmer.
