Crazy to think that any of these clubs could’ve picked up Steve Clarke 12 months ago and didn’t do so, instead choosing to bring in some absolute donkeys instead.

Doubt Clarke would have been interested in Championship jobs tbh.

McBookie not taking bets on this now ... is something close to being announced?

There's been £14 placed on Smith, which has wildly distorted the market. The bookies have to protect themselves against massive liabilities.

Thats why Morton fans aren't allowed to gamble with them.

Smith resigned from Raith Rovers...

Too underhand for the upright Crawford Rae. They would never get someone to resign in order to avoid compensation. That's the sort of thing a snake b*****d would do.

Say it's not so, Mr Rae.

Who? I would prefer Hopkin TBH.

Either appoint Wake now or fold the club. None of the usual parade of jobbers within the Scottish game are going to earn my backing at the moment: they'll be getting hounded in due course.  After Duffy and this we definitely need a left field option.
The idea that we should respond by moving for Hopkin - a manager who left a club that got fucking promoted to the top flight to suit his egotistic and failed dreams of landing a job down south - is truly laughable. He's nearly as much of a snake as McKinnon.

He's done well so far but it's based mainly on assembling a good squad
Time will tell if he's a good enough manager to succeed with Hartley's duds.
Let's hope it's a catastrophic failure

I think you’ll find this is a Falkirk thread, where Falkirk fans are having a release of Euphoria at having poached Ray McKinnon (seriously). Taunting ‘Ton fans about how difficult it will be to replace him (yeah, seriously), and how they are likely to suffer demise as a result.

All this whilst propping up the division. Ye couldnae make it up.

Nothing like signing a manager on deadline day so that he can then blame the fact he had no time to sign the players he wanted and has to work with what was there. Pretty shitty behaviour voluntarily leaving a club at that point as well. No class. Will fit in well at his new club.

Hopkin agrees a two year deal will be at the game today as Crawford takes legal action against Falkirk

Spoiler
Hopkin only sensible choice. Replace McKinnon who has done nothing as player or manager with a Manager who had successful playing career, with top managers and clubs and has proven he can get a squad together and gain promotion.

So this Hopkin fella, is he the same Hopkin that’s going to be the new Bradford manager?

snigger

Highlights of the thread so far.

Your best bet is to bring Duffy back in but what a riddie that would be.
