It would probably be good fun, one way or another.

Seems to be the "in thing" just now to appoint ex-players, not convinced it's the best option, especially when you see Everton trying to get Ancelotti.

Arsenal make official approach for Mikel Arteta.
That'll resolve all their issues.
I think majority of us new this.

On sky sports. At least copy and paste the article ffs.

However Arteta would be a silly move. A great move for the ex player but they already have an ex player in charge the now and he is making a right c**t of it.

Surely Arsenal can attract a bigger name or maybe financially Arsenal arent wanting to spend big on a manager.
Most games seem to be empty, pricing is a shambles.
Horrible club

Arsenal are in a mess. Cannot think of a manager capable of sorting it out.

I don't think the squad is too far away: the problem is the defence and a general lack of heart in the team, but these are longstanding issues. Leno is a decent goalie, Guendouzi + Torreira are potentially a solid midfield partnership, and Aubameyang / Lacazette / Martinelli / Pepe (maybe) will create and score goals. Get Luiz, Xhaka, Ozil and the other wage thieves into the sea.

With a Simeone-type in charge and a couple of defensive signings (who don't have a track record of getting injured) in January they could finish top 4. With Arteta, who knows.

This doesn't make sense - it implies that all ex players are automatically the same as each other.

Alex Ferguson and Ally McCoist were both ex Rangers players, but their managerial careers turned out fairly differently.

Arteta is a very highly rated coach and they seemed set to go for him last time before they bottled it a bit and took Emery. Obviously it's still a gamble.
