Ro Sham Bo
I'm struggling to think of many teams in the EFL who would take Chambers or Sokratis over their current centre backs. I think that's what you meant to say?

accies1874
It's pretty remarkable that a club like Arsenal have managed to assemble such an inept and imbalanced squad.
Deanburn Dave
Arsenal are in a mess. Cannot think of a manager capable of sorting it out.

Will be hard for any manager as that squad is on some amount of wages and no one will pay it for them,

Musketeer Gripweed
I only saw bits and pieces of the highlights, who was the defender that ducked on the line for the first goal? Real brave stuff there.
Brummie Clyde
Did the Arsenal fans leave after 10 minutes to beat the traffic?

Seems to be the "in thing" just now to appoint ex-players, not convinced it's the best option, especially when you see Everton trying to get Ancelotti.
Robin.Hood
Arsenal make official approach for Mikel Arteta. That'll resolve all their issues.I think majority of us new this.On sky sports. At least copy and paste the article ffs. However Arteta would be a silly move. A great move for the ex player but they already have an ex player in charge the now and he is making a right c**t of it.Surely Arsenal can attract a bigger name or maybe financially Arsenal arent wanting to spend big on a manager. Most games seem to be empty, pricing is a shambles.Horrible club

I don't think the squad is too far away: the problem is the defence and a general lack of heart in the team, but these are longstanding issues. Leno is a decent goalie, Guendouzi + Torreira are potentially a solid midfield partnership, and Aubameyang / Lacazette / Martinelli / Pepe (maybe) will create and score goals. Get Luiz, Xhaka, Ozil and the other wage thieves into the sea. With a Simeone-type in charge and a couple of defensive signings (who don't have a track record of getting injured) in January they could finish top 4. With Arteta, who knows.

Obviously it's still a gamble.
