Do the tv show exactly what the VAR ref is voewing? Hard to say. For Leicester to play so poorly and yet for City to need a deflected shot and a soft as hell penalty (looks like a dive to me although the "there was contact" apologists will be out there and he's one of the Golden Boys) to be in the lead shows you how far they've come. Only Vardy is anywhere approaching old too and he still has incredible pace.
