pandarilla
Was this predictable?Part of me is annoyed that i didn't bet on this kind of outcome. The champions got clapped on and then got their arses handed to them.

Iminavest
Essentially a nothing game but will be interesting to see if Foden & Garcia get a proper chance when the new season comes round.

The VAR that the English Premier League got is exactly the it deserves. Shitebag managers crying about decisions doing them instead of taking responsibility, moron fans and pundits greeting about refs not being able to get every decision right despite them (the refs) not having slow motion replays from multiple angles and having to make a decision in real time, the massively over the top criticism and blame of referees because they're an easy target and they help absolve those responsible (the players, managers and teams in general), and then the ludicrous nonsense about big money and how refs cost it for the guilty; it's all been building and building and VAR was always going to be the outcome. Get it right fucking up every single one of them. Glad VAR is an absolutely shit show, which it was always going to be. 2 hours ago, accies1874 said: McBurnie wins tonnes of flicks but seems to never actually play them to a teammate. Garcia could get his chance but, if the rumours have substance, there will be a few changes in defence. Selling Sane and Stones to fund a deal for Koulibaly would make sense.
Guest DAVIDB69
City’s defence will cost them in the champions league as usual

buchan30
Are Leicester city not to having to isolate because they are doing covid tests on the players?Presumably the match is going ahead on Saturday because their opponents will be going straight to the stadium and home again as well?

Seems to be fine to go ahead, they already had a horse racing meeting in Leicester since the new lockdown.
Distant Doonhamer
The complaints about VAR and the disallowed Spurs goal are understandable. However. If the view of the VAR is that the ball hit Moura’s arm then the only decision they can give is to disallow the goal. It’s a shit rule but it’s a rule nonetheless.
Distant Doonhamer
Even Roy Keane can’t raise much enthusiasm for this game. Roy Keane wouldn’t be enthusiastic about 1970 Brazil v 1982 Brazil. He’d picked fault in a 3 star Michelin restaurant where the cost was a fiver.
8MileBU
Dier (and the rest of Spurs defence) had an absolute shocker yesterday. For Lys Mousset’s goal in particular, Dier just switched off and starts ball watching instead of marking the man.

Pep seems to go out of his way to let us all know what an amazing prospect Foden is yet hasnt really shown a proportionate level of trust in him. The proof of how much trust there is to get to the next level will be in how much coin gets thrown at Fodens position in the summer I suppose. Pep must be under a bit of pressure having been absolutely skelped by Liverpool this season.

When he first broke through at City it was centre midfield but Pep seems to use him in the front 3 coming off the right hand side quite often now, and he's played excellent there too. As others have mentioned, Robertson couldn't handle him.

With such flexibility, recruitment should focus on the defence, possibly another goalkeeper and a striker. Overturning the ECL ban would attract top players such as Havertz and Haaland if FFP allows them to spend big.

Some of City’s football is exceptional but their defence is an an ongoing issue which has yet to be addressed.
