The Brechin City Thread

Boys did well today considering only 8 signed players started and the last 30 minutes we played with half the team being Brechin Vics players who I thought worked hard. United were bang average and must be disappointed that their latest crop of wonderkids didn’t batter us!!

Agree Brechin did well considering the different levels.Think City only had 2 subs so fatigue was always going to tell. As a nuetral thought city might be on the end of a hiding but that was certainly not the case. Any idea of the crowd, it looked pretty decent for a friendly, should boost the coffers a bit.

I heard the crowd was around 1100. Should get accurate figure when Brechin publish a match report.

Wasn't as good a performance as last week too many individual mistakes cost us. Noticed Grady was in the crowd though

Forget about Grady he’s gone. His contract is up tomorrow signing for another team next week.

How can you say it's a waste if you haven't been to a game ? He was brilliant against United and put in a decent performance today not to blame for any of the goals he's not the only defender we had playing

Ignore him he is just winding you up - he won’t be going to many games as he prefers watching the Vics

The new board has failed us.Two weeks into the new season no new players so squad has weakened and others have strengthened,Banks of Dee throwing money left right and centre (that’s where Grady is going ) they are the favourites for the league.

Ive warned you guys numerous times that this new boards ambition has gone we will now be a mediocre highland league team.

Ambition is still there however we have thrown the kitchen sink at getting back and our financial position is dictating our current squad strength it seems. We’ll still be there or therebouts come the end of the season. No fault lies with the board in my eyes and no point in going over old ground with regards to Price

Open your eyes, the struggle is real gone are the days of getting back into the SPFL.Threw the kitchen sink at it far too quickly.

We played alright yesterday.  A couple of comedy goals to give away but aside from that there wasn’t much between the teams.
We created a few good chances and should have scored a couple at least.  A striker would be nice but who knows what budget we have for that.
