Some of the language and quotes in this article are remarkable. “The prime minister is being failed here,” one said. He's not the fucking King, for f**k's sake. He's failing, not being failed. “How have they got themselves in this horrible position where they can deny things on the record and the BBC will run it anyway because they think their own sources are more trustworthy?” the source said. Because they have got themselves to a position where they think they can stand up and lie with impunity before the world's cameras and microphones. Not one of them ever thought they'd be called out on it, because they are in charge. This is proper through-the-looking glass shit we're seeing now. The only experienced communicator in his inner circle is the mother of his latest offspring? Well, that inspires confidence. National government on the basis of avoiding a shag ban. Brilliant Thanks a lot, Tory voters. You idiotic, moronic, stupid, uncaring fucking cúnts.

Billy Jean King
BBC now giving the line that all "donations" to the PM will be declared in "due course" but the PM hasn't recorded anything in that particular register "for some time" but it was due for an update. Absolutely fucking shameless the whole lot of them.
Paco
BBC now giving the line that all "donations" to the PM will be declared in "due course" but the PM hasn't recorded anything in that particular register "for some time" but it was due for an update. Absolutely fucking shameless the whole lot of them. The reason being given currently is there is no Adviser for Ministerial Standards, and they’re in charge of releasing these registers. Seems a bit flimsy, but why is there no Adviser for Ministerial Standards, I hear you ask? Because the last one resigned when Johnson ignored his advice to fire Patel, for breaching ministerial standards. You couldn’t make it up.
GiGi
The mental gymnastics from Laura K will give us a hearty laugh when she has to turn this around on Cummings, who she went to great lengths to defend this time last year. Very fun.
Salt n Vinegar
To me, the remarkable thing isn't so much that BoJo would be so crass as to say what has been reported, rather it's that nobody seems to be in the least surprised that he might say it.
WhiteRoseKillie
The remarkable thing is the lack of input from the Opposition. Starmer's* calling for an inquiry, is he? Well Skinner would be calling for the cúnt's head on a pike. Even the remaining socialists in Labour are suspiciously subdued atm. I've not seen a lot from McDonnell, for instance. Trickett and Burgon are still highly active on the SM, but next to nothing mainstream. *Seriously, if I were Starmer, I'd be jacking it and going back to the day job. Polls aren't gospel, but just look at them, for god's sake. He's never going to be PM, so why carry on as leader of a Party whose members despise him?
O'Kelly Isley III
I watched the latest Government apologist in the form of Theresa Coffey earlier today try vainly to sandbag Johnson's position. Apart from the fact that these performances would raise eyebrows in Pyongyang, you wonder if any senior Tory ever comes off camera and immediately vomits into the nearest washbasin, utterly consumed by guilt and shame at what integrity vacuums they have become. Naw, I don't think so either. Edited April 27, 2021 by O'Kelly Isley III

Yes, you’re right. Boris is a colourful character who uses exaggerated language all the time. He talked about ‘piling them up’ in the context that he was trying to do everything to avoid another lockdown. At the time, I was minded to accept an increased death toll as the price to be paid for greater freedom. Whether it was right or wrong like the Swedish approach, we’ll never know but it was a valid argument. However, his choice of words for a politician to make was daft but, as I say, I do have sympathy and see where he was coming from. I think most people appreciate that and, once the furore has died down, life will go on. However, for his opponents, it’s gold dust. -

Very fun.Oh I don't know, every Tory mouthpiece that's appeared in the media this morning has gone full 360 degrees on the Barnard Castle affair. It now did happen and Cummings was breaking lockdown rules. Suits them now of course.

His fucking employers, in case you forget. "Forget"? Ha, silly me. I'm doing it again, replying to someone who doesn't understand life about life. What am ah like, eh? BTW, "at the time" in this context means at the end of October, by which time any sane person knew that "letting the virus rip" was anything but a valid argument. You're not just a troll, you're a really stupid person. And a cúnt apologist.
J_Stewart
It's obviously good that something is finally sticking to the sentient floor mop, but this is barely in the top 10 of the worst things that vile excuse for a human being has done in the last 6 months alone, and the only reason it's getting any airtime is because a) it's snappy and easily digestible and potentially b) some c**t like Rupert Murdoch has obviously decided enough is enough and it's Gove's turn to be the incompetent, corrupt, morale-less vermin of choice in number 10. The reports now are that multiple journalists overheard him say it. If true, the on the record denial, coupled with the fact that not a single one of them reported it at the time is both heinous and - worse - completely unsurprising. What a vacuous, snidey, despicable, shitty little island this is.

Not only do the general public find his wording abhorrent but think of the many thousands of bereaved families who may be thinking that it is possible that he initially delayed lockdowns which caused the unnecessary deaths of their loved ones. He needs to be sacked on this alone.
