Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Sooner everyone catches it, the sooner the panic is over.

Trying to contain it is just delaying it.

We should have covid parties like the yummy mummies have chicken pox parties for their brats. We could take all our elderly relatives and leave them in a room until they catch it.

Joking aside I am genuinely worried for a family member who has a weakened immune system and lung disease plus over 70.

Apparently it attacks the lungs and can cause pneumonia even in healthy people. I really can’t see the nhs coping well with this as they struggle to get by during normal levels of sickness and operations.

Tempted to just advise them to stay in and I can drop off food if it gets bad, don’t know really. They’ve had zero advice from the doctor.

The point in delaying it is so that not everyone is ill at once helping reduce the pressure on the health service so those who need hospital beds etc are given the best chance at survival.

We may all get ill from this at some point but it is everyone's social responsibility to take simple precautions to delay the spread. It really is that simple.

Disagree.

Will barely register for the workload on the NHS if we don't test for it.

It's the testing that will be the extra workload, and hospitalising folk just to try and contain it.

Let it run its course. Without testing. Just deal with the fallout and it wouldn't be a problem.

With a case in Tayside is it too late to Nuke Dundee?

I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

With no containment measures the number of serious cases will cripple the NHS. It's an incredibly reckless idea to allow for a population to get sick all at once.

The NHS is crippled anyways. This won't make a difference.

And by serious cases , if they actually need hospitalisation, that isn't going to be that many in Scotchland.

If you don't test, you don't find.

This is a huge over dramatisation.

It's all about opinions, and I find yours to be a panty wetting variety.

So I'm guessing you have a vested interest workwise.....
