Wouldn't you just be doing that with bare hands anyway?

Not if you keep sanitising/washing. Not sure of the Lidl procedure, but someone wearing the same pair of gloves for a shift wouldn't raise my confidence level.

Just spoke to a concrete company, who are listed as a "key" industry so should be staying open, but their entire (Polish) workforce has refused to come in.

Our canteen staff also failed to appear yesterday (don't blame them at all).

Gloves would make absolutely no difference to a checkout operator - the virus sticks to gloves just as much as it sticks to the skin.

When I was at Stephens the bakers last week they were using a plastic glove with a 4" hoop where the cuff was, they could quickly put it on with one hand, take your money and gave your change in a plastic tub.

Prince Charles has the virus

According to the news he only displayed ‘mild symptoms’.

I thought people were only getting tested if they were serious enough to be hospitalised?

I'm not going to have the opportunity to do that while I'm shopping though.
Aye but did you not say you wiped the stuff down because she didn't wear gloves?

Her wearing gloves makes no difference to her passing on something to your stuff.

It does protect the staff a bit, and you, touching trolleys and stuff, but that's about it. Gloves don't limit the spread.

Not if you're a "celebrity", "sports star" or "Rich" it would seem.
