Was it you this happened to before and you thought it was all a big conspiracy because you had posted some (incorrect) stuff about the East of Scotland league?

It happened to me before, was from totally random places though If I remember rightly.

Marshy is my chief suspect. Last hacking attempt was from Falkirk area.Screenshot_20200403-113324_Email.jpeg

I've had that a couple of times recently, one time from Belmarsh Prison, then the middle of the Thames. I'm in Inverness. Last time it was after I was logged out of the app for some reason and it wouldn't let me log in with three attempts. Think it's some glitch in the app.

What radio channels have been your positives during this shiteshow? BBC World service is great but listened to that a lot before anyway. I’ve tried Country Hits Radio and really enjoying it. A few repeats but not much in the way of shitey ads.

If that's lat/long, then it's the middle of the Thames near Lambeth Palace.

I've been trying to find a decent insomnia channel since Up All Night on 5 has gone down the shitter to a phone in from utter welts. Looking for a decent US talk channel, NPR is ok but a bit worthy and boring, and instead of ad breaks they seem to have some guy in the studio tuning his guitar. Any suggestions most welcome.

Fair play, you've got me bang to rights. I drove from my home in Glasgow to my parent's house in Falkirk during a global pandemic to try and log in to some lunatic on Pie and Bovril's account.

Middle of Thames?  Were you salmon fishing?  If so why did you need to log into anything at the time?

Not even going to ask about Belmarsh.

I've been a bit flippant about poor Julian on occasion, maybe they've restored his internet privileges.

Craig Murray totally missing the point as usual..

Quote

Nobody knows how deadly this virus is. There have not been, anywhere, sufficient reliable large general population samples to know what percentage of people who get the virus will die. We just do not know how many people in the UK have had it and not got seriously ill. My suspicion is that in a couple of years time it will be discovered the mortality rate was under 1%.

Over the last 5 winters we've had 12,000-28,000 excess mortality due to flu each winter in the UK. It'll be a while before we can compare this year's number for excess mortality with those. But bear in mind, those are 'do nothing' years - no social distancing, case isolation, hygiene, none of that. The modelled 'do nothing' figure for Covid-19 was around half a million deaths. Also, the 'do nothing' figure doesn't include anything about people dying of otherwise treatable conditions due to lack of resources.

On excess mortality, the pic below is the first thing I've seen trying to consider it. The daily death rate in the highly affected regions far outstrips the Covid-19 deaths plus the typical background level. How many of those additional deaths are undiagnosed or unrecorded Covid-19 case and how many are something else, we can't know yet and might never know. But the actual excess mortality level is clearly very high.
