Coronavirus (COVID-19)

And for the millionth time, nobody is asking for the shutdown of schools, just for the government to be honest that they are not “safe” like they claim and that they’ve judged them to be worth the rise in infections they cause.

I'm probably being incredibly naive but a message that your kids will likely pick up Covid at school so be extra careful not to have house parties and wear a fucking mask might have some merit.

Both governments are both in denial about the need for targeted shielding.
There was mass hysteria from WFH journalists and Facebook maws about letting the virus circulate but now we know more about how mild it is for most people (Long Covid does not exist) it is the best way forward.
It's basically what has already happened with key workers with little impact outside high risk areas of the NHS.
See, you can say that long covid doesn't exist as much as you like, but reality would disagree with you.

Tomorrow night at 10pm could be fun if the game goes to extra time.

Record number of lock-ins.

Our McTominay/ Gallagher centre back pairing will ensure it doesn't get near extra time.

How many folk are going to read this on the BBC website and end up ditching beers for fizzy juice at home.

I suspect these will also be the same people that drive around in their cars with their facemasks on

Loves stats and will make a graph out of anything. I have suggested he make himself available for requests on here.

@G51, I'd like to see a graph showing the numbers of 5G masts being built over time against the infection rate of Covid19, please.

Nicola Sturgeon during the press conference yesterday said that the virus was spreading less quickly in Scotland than any other U.K. nation.

Today, in the evidence paper used to justify the increased restrictions the R number is higher in Scotland than any other U.K. nation.

🤷‍♂️

To keep everyone happy and covid free, the obvious answer here is to shut pubs completely and set up hospitality in the schools when the kids leave at half 3.

Get p7 to do a project on Ireland and boom, Irish pub at night for those inclined. P6 can do the failed statelet and Bob's (Billy's) yer uncle, a mini Louden Tavern. Get the jenga and Connect 4 out for a studenty pub vibe.

Seaside leagues and Juniors can play in front of fans on the school pitches.

She said the prevalence was lower in Scotland, not the R number

I was thinking we could have pupils, teachers and staff form a giant human chain around football stadiums to stop The Virus getting in.

No need for a government bailout and fans back inside like the pandemic never happened.

If we follow the same science the government does lets make workplaces and schools pubs and get the super immune kids to do all the work.
