Knowing that the sequence goes case - hospital - ICU - death, we're seeing the wave 3 in decline in the first two parts. Might take a wee while for the ICU and deaths to follow suit.

Far higher death figures than I was expecting there, but all the other metrics are looking good. ICU numbers will be on the decline by this time next week, and you'd imagine death numbers should be down to far more reasonable levels in 10 days time or so. I really didn't think we'd be near six percent positivity this quickly either. That's good to see.

Todd_is_God
Hopefully NS takes the falling case rates into consideration rather than the death rate when it comes to 9th August. No point basing the keeping of restrictions in 17 days on the number of people who may go on to die that have, for all intents and purposes, already caught it - nothing will change for those people either way. Ron Aldo
2nd vaccine appointment has come through. I've been playing it safe since my first jag and only licking the occasional bus stop and door handle but it won't be much longer and I can get back to licking peoples faces again.
Guest
Just been for 2nd jag and nursey told me how to access the App thing to see your vaccination status, however she did say that this "might" be accepted by "some" countries as proof of vaccination if wanting a holiday ?? So, my question to the forum is does anyone know if the Scottish NHS vaccination certification / app has been signed off as the same status / standing as the English version ? and is this widely known throughout Europe by their border control etc ?? I'm only asking as I wouldn't want a "aah, but we don't accept Scottish notes, just English" sort of scenario which I'm sure we've all encountered at some point in the past !!

You definitely want the printed version they post out to you, the download version looks like notepad file you typed yourself. It was accepted fine in Spain a few weeks ago, eventually we'll be able to upload our proof to the European Covid Passport app and use that.

I can only find numbers on hospital stays rather than specifically ICU. Tons of information in the excellent reports from the Scottish Intensive Care Society Audit Group. Various reports available. Way much more info than you want/need I suspect.
