Am I right in saying the written guidance still hasn't been produced?

It came out this morning. Still clear as mud in some instances. Eg. The main page says kids under 12 are exempt from face coverings, but when you click onto the specific face covering section it say under 5s are exempt.

This isn't a dig at anyone, but the repeated "Hurumph, well won't be voting for the SNP or Sturgeon again" mewling is getting tiring already.

They do not give a f**k. They've just been voted back in and won't face the electorate again for years.

Well that's simply not true. There are local elections due across the country, where turning out your supporters is more important than in a national election. If people aren't impressed by Scottish Government performance or the local SNP are led by a Chris McEleny type, they fail to win power in a local setting. And it is at the local branch level that activism takes place for national elections, so the knock-on effects are real enough.

The SNP like every other dominant party is interested in power at every level of government, not just Holyrood. If it loses Glasgow or other local authorities then that is a major setback from their point of view.

They do not give a f**k. Even before the pandemic, whatever has made you think that they are in anyway bothered about the 'enjoys football and going for a pint' demographic ?

Except that it's not even remotely just football fans who think that the latest set of restrictions are a completely ridiculous, illogical mess. A government whose 'Covid tsar' can't get the guidance right or even sound like a sentient human being when discussing 'vertical drinking' is impressing nobody in the competence stakes.

They do not give a f**k. Especially, if you're going to abstain instead.

A withheld vote by a previous supporter is still harmful to any political party, whether it is given to a different party or not.

I'm just catching up on the latest messaging - you can unmask for the three Ds, drinking, dancing and dining.

The three Ds   They have clearly just been sitting in a room trying to work out some bullshit slogan for the making it up on the hoof pish.

They strolled an election 3 months ago. The council elections are 9 months away. Things are opening up now, but even now at the 'vertical drinking' high water mark of their covid related clownshoes, they're still winning elections.

Totally agree, but let's not fall into the trap of thinking that this thread is an accurate representation of the electorate as a whole. There's hundreds of thousands of voters who won't give a single solitary shite if there's 40 or 40,000 allowed into football grounds.

As usual, pre election bribes to key demographics will also help voters forget about idiots like Swinney and that we had restrictions for a couple of weeks after England did.

Again, I agree, but both the constitutional situation and the absolute dogshit that masquerades as branch office opposition mitigates this somewhat.

Some of the most nauseating Covid discourse is that 'WE JUST DINNAE KNOW ABOOT THE LONG-TERM CONSEQUENCES!!!11', as if the overwhelming majority of those who recover and/or are vaccinated are somehow going to grow a third eye or second arsehole in ten years time or something. We categorically know, within reason, that post mass population level immunisation it is simply a bog standard virus like any other. More bedwetting gubbins that is fit for the nearest skip.

How many years do they propose we wait to find out the long term consequences before resuming normal life?

That’s fine, he can get on with worrying about things that might never happen while the rest of us get on with it. Although I’m not convinced that’ll mean much more than the usual online virtue signalling.

We are at the point where people either wish to participate in society or not. If they don’t, that’s up to them, but don’t try to drag every other c**t down with them.

If someone like Joanna Cherry for example can’t take back the party she may just go and set up shop on her own and I dare say would have plenty backing.

The Alba Party tried to build a big chunk of their campaign around transphobia and didn't get any traction, can't see why she'd do any better.
