SoapMactavish
I must admit I am somewhat concerned we have went from 0 inpatients to 1/3rd of the peak number of inpatients we had at the height of it in a matter of a few weeks.

But, why would we want to risk adding even more cases from other countries - we are doing fine on that score without any help?

Well, my point would be that you can travel to Manchester where it's 350+ per 100,000 but the apparent reasoning for not going to say Poland was because they had seen "a rapid increase", now this is true, if you take going from 26 per 100,000 in mid August to 49 in early October, however for the same time period we have gone from 21 to 175 so as you can probably see, I don't quite understand the science involved here ??

Lambie's Pigeon Feed
She's in hard place if civil servants need to spend the day working through cabinet's decision but the coded messages around an announcement tomorrow are a bit pointless.

Clockwork
As others have mentioned, the SG need to be seen to be doing something about the steady increase in cases. School Holidays and what’s left of the JRS/Furlough payments to Oct 31st, perhaps gives them an opportunity to try and put the lid back on things for a few weeks, using a ‘circuit break’? Think we’re all resigned to the fact that it will be a temporary halt only, before we’re back to square one before Christmas. As schools and businesses reopen, its inevitable, even with restrictions in place. In the meantime, guess we just have to be responsible and sensible as individuals, whilst a herd immunity hopefully continues to slowly build in the background. The last few months have shown us that the governments at both Holyrood and Westminster seem just as helpless as the rest of us feel.

MP_MFC
Its like a patronising school teacher talking to 12 year olds. Most of the time that's due to journalists asking the daftest of questions. See that shouty idiot just there.

Blootoon87
The tone of politicians has been very patronising for the last six months, but they have to set the tone for the thickest folk in society remember.
