Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Recommended Posts

So Murrayfield will have food outlets open on Saturday, yet Hampden didnt because of big bad queues? Can only imagine covid does care about the shape of the ball after all. An absolute sham
Just incredible at this stage. Not only are they meddling in our lives long after the intended goal has been reached (protect the NHS) but now they are openly exercising their prejudices. The genie is well out of the bottle in terms of the snobbish way they view football fans.

Looking forward to some "ahahahahah Nicola has football fans on strings hahahahahha" drivel from Granny Danger soon.

Rugby fans will all have been working from home since last march, don’t frequent dirty pubs and only drink alcohol with a substantial meal when out. And will all be travelling to the match in socially distant range rovers
So much safer if you think about it

Could be wrong, but I don't think we ever categorically found exactly who made that decision re the pie huts at Hampden.

Food outlets being OK'd at Murrayfield, together with the way Ian Maxwell was speaking this morning, makes me think the SFA were behind that decision.

Work colleague's son has tested positive after An LFT.  Still waiting on his PCR coming through,  but he's not been very well. They don't live in the same house, colleague was out with him on Sunday,  so is getting tested to be on the safe side.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting on results from a PCR if it was taken the last couple of days.

Just heard via a vaccinator in St Andrews.  On Monday they had 300ish appts lined up. Mostly for 2nd attempts of previous no shows. Strangely most from the Methil & Leven area.

14 turned up !!!!!!!!    Obviously huge swathes just can't be arsed.

Making  no shows who were previously probably only traveling a few miles come to St Andrews s still seems very odd.

The pandemic has certainly shown how much the govt hates football. Not sure if alcohol is allowed at Murrayfield on Saturday but it usually is whilst fitba fans can’t even take in a bottle of fruit shoot for their kids. They really should be pulled up about their contempt for football

Think the official line was it would create a queue, whilst conveniently forgetting there would be a queue for the toilets as there was a toilet Marshall/steward only allowing a certain number of folk in. Seriously fed up of being treated like a naughty school kid

And there is part of the problem right there.
Perfectly healthy symptom-free people getting tested "to be on the safe side".
Until people stop doing these tests we'll struggle to get free of these restrictions.
Wait, this is the same line that trump was using a year ago!!

"if we stop testing so many folk then our numbers will go down"

Indeed that was the official line. But no one / no authority ever actually out their name to the decision itself.

I agree with you entirely though - it's a nonsense

The stage of the pandemic we are currently in, is quite literally nothing to do with Jason Leitch, and hes gutted.

Take your school teacher act and get all the way to f**k.

He’s been a hapless supply teacher for months now, the slow and gradual decline has been fantastic to watch.

Soon he’ll be staring out of his window getting angry at kids congregating.

Or getting angry of seeing full capacity crowds at the football come end of August with limbs taking place at every goal across the country.

Nah, the way we prove the vaccine is working is by testing people. If we can show the virus ripping through the population without people dying or being hospitalised then this shit show is over

It’s exactly the same line.  Being repeated by equally stupid people.

No, no, no. I think you'll find the Rona is taking this weekend off - a bit like how it didn't spread last autumn and winter if you were inside drinking a coffee or fresh orange, but would if you were nursing a lager.

You've lost me there.
The way to prove the vaccines work is to just count the hospitalisations and deaths, and you don't need to test perfectly healthy people to achieve that.
No, you have to have an idea as to how many people are infected to know how affective the vaccine is. It's not rocket science ffs
