No, BJ is responding to the very real threat from the 1922 committee.......

It's amazing what some opposition and pushback can do! The Labour losers gave them a blank canvas if they wanted it.

Absolutely hilarious that Shanicron is what will inevitably FINNISH the pandemic as nearly everyone will get what is a glorified cold, vaxxed or otherwise.

He's no finished, he's only 28!

And I think you genuinely believe that.

What a shame.

Anyway.........

Yes, I genuinely believe that.

I think your difficulty is that because I don't see this in exactly the same way you do, you can only really conceive of me as someone as zealously in the opposite camp as you are in yours.

However, it's not a question of that at all.

I suspect you like to think I've missed the point that if hospitalisations have not rocketed elsewhere, then it suggests that the more stringent measures adopted here are unnecessary.  However, I've not missed this point at all - I fully recognise it.

What I've no plans of doing, is treating any great news about fewer serious illnesses and deaths as some kind of setback or defeat.

This 'footballification' that's been identified elsewhere, is alive and well on this thread and it really limits the capacity of some people for thought and analysis.

I think that’s quite reductive actually.

Yes, it’s a great thing if we’re not facing a mass increase in serious illness and death, of course it is.

But there’s a fundamental discussion to be had about how we approach this pandemic/endemic as it ain’t going anywhere.

So whilst it’s great we’re not seeing mass death, it’s not helpful in circumstances like this to say ‘yay, no mass hospitalisations, chalk that up as a win and move on’.

We are seeing a normalisation of discussion of ‘restrictions’ so it’s absolutely right to call out when it’s been used spuriously.

Absolutely reeking of desperation.

The very idea that she might have made a mistake here won't even be crossing her mind.

Oh it will.  You can bet it’s being discussed at length behind closed doors.

The idea of admitting a mistake has been made is an entirely different thing however.

You know she's either gonna double down or give it the better safe than sorry routine. With the lovejoys and empty heids in Parliament praising her actions.

Sturgeon makes me sick.

By the way, has anyone or anywhere pointed out that the ~1,000 deaths per week we're seeing 'with' covid in the UK is on a par with a somewhat bad winter of influenza? Two or three years ago literally nobody would give the slightest toss about this. In fact, they wouldn't even know. It's beyond belief what these mind cripples are doing to this country.

Loves travel and European cities. I'm sure he's been highly critical of the SNP's vile approach to international travel. I'd get his hard drive checked.

Anyone else watch the Newcastle v Man Utd game tonight? Must be a different virus just across the border on the Tyne with only the 52,000 at St James' Park. How are the hospitals in Newcastle possibly coping!

The darts in London as well. Packed indoors for the next week. Final on New Years Day. Hopefully it doesn't go pear shaped down south, and we can quickly remove the 'protections' here. 🤞

Man U players were following Scottish advice.  Great example of social distancing.
