Scorge
Pfft, should have been a managerial tag-team rap battle on BBC Alba, or the captains having a how-many-teacakes-can-you-wolf-doon-in-ninety-seconds contest, if you wanted to keep the sponsors happy.... Thistle Scotland Europe
It is a good decision by the Scottish football authorities. It is good for Inverness CT and Raith Rovers, in these tough times, for them to win the trophy. The first Scottish football league title was shared by Glasgow Rangers and Dumbarton. In rugby the 5 nations was once shared by all 5 nations.

roverthemoon
Absolute joke of a decision. SPFL obviously couldn’t afford the neutral stadium hire with no crowd revenue. That’s how tinpot they are
realmadrid
Just think how even more tinpot this would have been if ICT had not beaten a colt team in the semi finals.

foreverarover
Absolute joke of a decision. SPFL obviously couldn’t afford the neutral stadium hire with no crowd revenue. That’s how tinpot they are The fact they paid out £20k to each team last season. They are hiring a stadium. Forcing players to play an extra game at risk to players for the say of deciding upon who wins about £5k in prize money. Not worth the hastle.

MONEY , Fans would rather the team played and won or lost the cup , winning a cup , by playing in a final means more to players and fans .

true_rover
It’s about winning a cup not the prize money. Absolutely worth the hassle For the fans, yes. I would have rather it was played but it going into next season particularly since it could be after the 21/22 Challenge Cup starts is probably just getting silly.

HibeeJibee
In the League Cup every club get a day as odd team in their group. They could have put Inverness and Raith's days on the same weekend and held the Final then, as disrupts nothing else.
PauloPerth
Yes, I mean it's hard enough to get sponsors and some teams to take this cup seriously, so the authorities not being bothered to play the final hardly helps. How difficult would it have been?
