Agbonlahor is the latest in a long line of people to just say stuff to try and be controversial. He's a try hard at times.

Yesterday he said he was racially abused at Millwall by children as young as 12 right up to OAP's. He thought "Why?". Did you speak up at the time, Gabriel?

Nah mate, no point innit bruv.

I'm not doubting he was racially abused. I just don't see why he's waited until they booed players taking the knee to tell the wider public about his experience. He's now saying players should cancel contracts and leave the field etc. Fair enough. Why didn't he act when he had the chance to make his mark?

Harry Kane is a c**t.

I came here to post about this. It’s dangerous as f**k, players really should be getting penalised for this (more often) otherwise some poor b*****d will end up with a broken neck or back.

That's a harsh take.

The same could be said about victims of sexual assault or child abuse.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons why he never spoke up at the time.

Agbonlahor seems a fairly terrible pundit, typical Talksport, he is only employed to get attention rather than for any sort of insight.

However, it is a somewhat harsh view to suggest we shouldn't listen to any BAME person who criticises racism when they are literally being asked about racism unless they campaigned on the issue throughout their career. Not everyone wants to put themselves in a position to be shot at. Listen to Anton Ferdinand's interview as an example of how badly being racially abused affected him.

For countless BAME players, racial abuse was a part of the game for years. Hopefully one of the successes of the BLM movement will be to consign those days to history.

Perhaps.

I feel I've as much right to question him as he does have the right to tell players how they should act - in a completely contradictory way to how he had.

It's all well and good now he's made his money and is out the game. It just seems a bit of a cop out to me on his part.
