G51
Postponing this won't help the perception that the JRG/ScoGov are not following a consistent set of guidelines.
Thereisalight..
An absolute mockery of the “games can go ahead if there’s 13 players and a GK” rule. Also wonder if the positive results are maybe false positives

Also wonder if the positive results are maybe false positives The 13 player and GK rule is a sport rule, but if the health board/local authority decide the game should be off then that will supersede it. Means it isn't up to the SPFL. That never happened with St Mirren and their local health board, I guess. I don't know about the second 3 players, but the first 3 had their positives confirmed by NHS tests yesterday. Seen BurstBaw on Twitter saying the Daily Record report was premature; game expected to be called off but hasn't officially been yet.

Best put every fire out as it occurs.

MP_MFC
Absolutely won't happen and all but confirmed off.It won't but there should be consequences if an entire team is deemed at risk, clearly rules have not been followed. St Mirren had to play without a goalie, other teams have had to play missing key players. They'll forfeit the Betfred ties but there needs to be something in place from the league for clubs who find themselves in the situation, a few players is expected, it's a highly infectious virus but to have a full squad deemed at risk makes it clear there has been a serious failure by the club.

santheman
I’ve every sympathy for Killie in this as it could just as easily happen at any club. All it takes is one player to ignore the protocols or make an honest mistake and it goes through the squad despite all the testing in place. Hopefully no one gets seriously ill because at the end of the day that’s all that really matters

The six players who have actually tested positive will presumably be back in 10 days so we might be able to scramble together a squad for the second one. The transfer window is still open too. 4 minutes ago, MP_MFC said: It won't but there should be consequences if an entire team is deemed at risk, clearly rules have not been followed. I'm not sure how this has to constitute a failure to follow the rules. Players can catch coronavirus anywhere - their partners could pick it up at work, their kids could get it at school, they could get it in the supermarket. If one or two of them picked it up that way and took it to training then it's hardly a stretch to think that another handful of guys would have caught it from them.
Busta Nut
What about the Poker game I saw rumours for? How safe was this thing? Like was it just the players etc? again all rumours though! Edited October 2, 2020 by Busta Nut

It'll have been called off on the medical advice given this morning, it's a massive risk to send and expose players to a location with a confirmed active infection rate....
YassinMoutaouakil
At least Gallagher and O'Donnell have a wee bit extra rest before the Israel game.

I can see why St Mirren will take the huff about it but the two scenarios are different. Lasley confirmed yesterday that we have a full complement of -ve tests so the optics of having the game on against a squad of players who may be absolutely riddled with the 'rona wouldn't look great if we ended up with some +ve cases next week or whatever.
