1320Lichtie
Morton looked the much better team to be fair. Especially second half. Well deserved
GiGi
Airdrie looked fucked in the last quarter of the game.

TheGoon
Deserved win. Toe’s far from over but hopefully we’ll just have too much for Airdrie on Friday.
SirJimmyofNic
Its far from over, still think it'll go to penalties
Otis Blue
Looking like another 2 trips to the Clyde Riviera coming up then ...... can't see how Airdrie will score in the second leg, nothing much up front.
AsimButtHitsASix
After losing to a Robbie Muirhead goal against a team that had Cameron Blues on for the full 90 100 minutes Airdrie should do the decent thing and liquidate themselves again. It's more than they deserve Edited May 18, 2021 by AsimButtHitsASix
the snudge
Quite enjoyed watching that as a neutral. Airdrie tired but gave a good account of themselves. Turner in the middle impressed.

vikingTON
Bonucci-esque cross for the goal, if it had been Fjortoft on the end of it instead of that haddy then it would have been liquid football.
rainbowrising
Ref allowed some players away with bookable offenses. Overall, Morton worth the win and Airdrie had no fire power up front at all. They faded badly in the last 10 and look like the cant go the full 90 which isnt good news with another game to come. Morton are safe now based on that. qos_75
All the knicker wetting of a couple of weeks ago was misplaced then. The tie isn’t completely over but I can’t see Morton losing it from here.

Rudolph Hucker
It’ll still be squeaky bum time on Friday. Maybe just not quite so loud....... Edited May 18, 2021 by Rudolph Hucker

Busiest person on the pitch. Aye. 'She's' done so much exercise tonight 'she's' turned into a bloke... blank.webp

Strapp landing the ball right on top of Lyon to miss a total sitter was just as lovely.
Jamie_M
Deserved that. Could easily have been conformable with some of the chances we missed. Pleased to go into Friday with a lead. Airdrie we need to go for it so will hopefully tire themselves out even quicker.

Fae_the_'briggs
Turns out Morton didn't really need an emergency loan keeper for all he was called on to do.

Both sides were seriously rank rotten, just that Morton weren't quite as rank as Airdrie for the last 10 mins, and I can't believe I actually wasted an evening by watching it. The only slight glimmer of entertainment was watching Lyon's theatrical moaning every time a decision went against him. It's not over yet, but Morton will certainly be happy going into the second leg at home with a lead. Might give watching it a miss though, spending the evening clearing up the dog turds in the garden in pouring rain will probably be more enjoyable.
