You have to win a medal at the next olympics or you die. You are allowed to give up work to train full time and have access to a successful full time coach. One horse decided to give up jumping for a living and one has just ran straight through a fence. ETA just realised it's the modern pentathlon. It does seem a bit mad they can’t bring and ride their own horse - there’s just not much you can do with a horse that doesn’t want to do something.
