Dunfermline Athletic vs Arbroath

Recommended Posts

Embarrassing stuff watching it back. Men against boys. Arbroath totally organised, every man playing for each other and playing our “game plan” to a T

Fucking embarrassing. It really is basic stuff we can’t even get right. This clown is honestly stinking the place out. Get him so far to f*ck before it gets any worse. We’ve got the perfect time to do it with the meaningless cup game coming up. Plenty of time to bin this charlatan and get someone proper in.

Was a bit of a piss take by the end. Linn was class when he come on. LD and Hilson done well too, chuffed for Hilson

Yes. I thought the Dunfermline players gave up at even more at that point.

Oh feck were 3-0 down and now they’ve brought Bobby Lynn on. Feck this for a game of soldiers.

Mehmet is absolutely fucking shite btw. Fair play to Grant finding a keeper worse than OFW.

Players look so weak and half-hearted in their attempts to press and tackle. They deserve plenty of criticism for being so pathetic as well.

Maybe just had an off day.

Any chance the Pars fans can give our Lichties the praise they deserve? Absolutely bossed it

Don't be daft. The wind (or some other meteorological factor) gave us a huge advantage as usual. If it wasn't for the weather, they would beat us every time.

Christ Arbroath fans are needy.

Hate to break it to you, but your not special. We get hammered weekly.

All Arbroath have proved is their  better than a Covid riddled league 1 side and a 2nd bottom league 2 one,  something everyone already knew

As funny as the result was, looks like Arbroath played well and could be set for another great season.

Some of their fans do seem desperate for people to heap lashings of praise on them though.  They've got a good management team, solid squad and use their loans well.  Good on them, but it's still a howler for Dunfermline given the respective clubs aspirations for the season.

I couldn’t give a f**k actually quite annoying when we as Arbroath fans are giving it the part time underdog shit give us praise please now. We’re a championship team with 8/900 season tickets who have finished 5th and 7th the last 2 years. We are a championship level club at the minute

Maybe just cause a lot of Dunfermline fans have banged on about the wind etc that much in comparison to other fans after we’ve beaten them in the past

Maybe other teams haven't played you in as shocking weather?

Could not care less about getting praise from other fans etc. We are where we are, our club is united from top to bottom and we are doing pretty well at the moment, off the park things seem to be very well run and we have as good a team on the pitch as i can remember.

A lot of full time teams in the league (Dunfermline being the current example) seem to be having season after season of continuous disappointments which creates real apathy and discontent in the stadium and on here. We've been there before so know what it feels like. I would say though that any Dunfermline fan at the start of the season that thought they would be mounting a promotion challenge under Peter Grant would be a tad delusional.

That's absolutely pathetic from Watson from the opener. Whilst he's highly unlikely to have stopped McKenna scoring to show almost no interest whatsoever in trying to match his run makes it look like the players have stopped trying for the manager already. It's the kind of reaction you might see from a player when their side is 3 goals down but not at 0 - 0.
