As per pretty much every game this season, we are incredibly brittle in defence - gifting clear cut chances often through slack play in front of the back line under a press .

A few nice moments from Samuels and Ramsay aside, we have been poor. Far too slow and the final ball has been floaty fodder or hit and hope.

I'm maybe being too generous, but I don't think we have played too badly despite being behind.

We know that the way we are setting up at the moment leaves the defence more exposed and stretched, so individual errors are more likely to be punished. Lewis got us out of jail when Longstaff coughed up possession early on, but McCrorie really needs to be dealing better with the initial cross into our box for the goal. 

Samuels has been bright, but he does look very raw. Saying that, he has added a bit of pace and unpredictability to the final third which has been missing since Hedges got injured. Both full-backs have looked decent going forward, but when we have been able to get a reasonable quality of ball across the box nobody has been there to make it count (with the exception of the Samuels free header, which he really has to be scoring).

Frustrating watch. Far too many safe / negative passes from the defence and midfield. Austin looks decent. Defence certainly missing Andy. Get JET on.
