No excuse Peter the only team that gets prioritised is darvel because they are going for the league after the 14th the cup can get moved on as darvel will be free . I don t know the dates of the play offs if they win the league but the rest of the games should be played earlier plenty mid week dates

It's not an excuse, I don't need to give an excuse. It's a reason.

It is an excuse there is no reason to get the games played it looks bad on the West when their top cup gets treated poorly and if teams pull out because they can't fulfil the fixture the the wosfl has failed the clubs.

Might actually be worth checking the WOSFL Cup fixtures first before getting yourself worked up https://wosfl.co.uk/calendar/kilmarnock-pie-west-of-scotland-football-league-cup-fixtures/

7/5 Outstanding Round of 16
Benburb v. Thorniewood United
Kello Rovers v. Clydebank
St Roch's v. Hurlford United

21/5 Quarter finals
St Roch's/Hurlford United v. Arthurlie
Pollok v. Kello Rovers/Clydebank
Benburb/Thorniewood United v. Kilwinning Rangers
Darvel v. Cambuslang Rangers

Darvel might be the only problem if they're in the LL Playoff.

Would playing our top cup competition Semi-Finals on a midweek not be treating it poorly?

Would we not be disrespecting the 4 clubs involved by making them play midweek to a reduced audience?

I'm a bit disappointed that the new West of Scotland cup is being treated the same as the old junior West cup no set dates and being played like an end of season tournament most teams season are finished and are still waiting to play ties in the cup and the final is away into June a lot of players contracts are finished at the beginning of June as they were told the season would be finished by then so teams progressing in the tournament won't be able to field a team and will have to forfeit their tie due to having insufficient amount of signed players.

Play the final on the 4th June, bank holiday weekend, give it a proper showcase, support the sponsors who backed the cup from the get go.

It's being given the full treatment as a WoSFL Showcase. It's on the 11th June. A date free of fixtures.

There's another cup final in Ayrshire that day (featuring two west clubs)

No it wouldn't be disrespectful playing it midweek in my opinion there are club's who's have no league games left waiting around weeks just to play these ties and we are not at the semi final stage still got early rounds still to be played that could be played in midweek rather being dragged from Saturday to Saturday then you have the final God knows when that kicks in its just like the old days teams are running out of players and can only play signed ones so what do you do if for instance you have only way 8 signed players left to play.

Also kennie would you agree with me that the earlier rounds could have been played midweek and the semis and the final could and should be played before the end of may

Not all teams have floodlights, so, that's a no.

As our Cup Games are all shared gate matches. I believe we should try to maximise the income to the benefit of both teams in the tie.

Therefore they should always be Saturday games except in the circumstances where a postponement occurred.
