You got CL football and sold players at big prices for a few years. What else can the OF do at this time? If you went and spent 20-30m on players then of course you would dominate in Scotland but would you then have made the same profits? Would Scottish football have remained interesting if Celtic were in the process of a 6th treble in a row? Do you not realise to a neutral that the same team/teams with huge advantages dominating is a turn off?
