peasy23
Off to a dreadful start, not helped by the Swedish lass having a blinder. Could be shaking hands very early.

peasy23
8-1 at halfway. Needing a miracle from here. Both Swedes percentages above their tournament average, Jen Dodds is way below hers.
Donathan
I just hope that this choke in the medal games doesn’t end up knocking their confidence for the men’s and women’s events which both start on Thursday.
Bully Wee Villa
Sweden would have to have their two games of the tournament against GB, wouldn't they? Still f**k all medals and even silly countries like Australia and New Zealand are on the medal table.
Donathan
Would like to see Italy win the gold against Norway. Partly because they’ve played so well for the entire tournament but mainly because Stefania Constantini is a bit of a wid.

Bully Wee Villa
Forza Italia! No issue with the Norwegians, but feel Italy deserve to win gold having won nine out of nine group games.

Bully Wee Villa
Charlotte Bankes didn't even it make it to the semi-finals of the snowboard cross. Zero medals starting to look a decent possibility. Hasn't happened since 1992.
Ignoramus
It’s basically the curlers or bust now I think and as we’ve seen, that’s hardly a guarantee.
Donathan
We’ve still got world champion Dave Ryding in the alpine skiing slalom, both curling teams are European champions, Izzy Atkin in the snowboard slope style who won bronze last time (although she’s not fully fit and is a bit of a long shot) and Kirsty Muir in the same event, we usually dominate the skeleton and have a promising young team led by Pyeongchang bronze medalist Laura Deas, and we should be in medal contention in bobsleigh both the 4-man and 2-man bob. I don’t think we will win as many medals as the last couple of games but I’d still expect 3-4 medals.
Caledonian1
I am pretty hopeful that one or both the curling teams can get a medal. The mixed-doubles was a good watch but really looking forward to the real thing. Eve's rink is off first at 1.05am tomorrow morning.......will give that a miss but may catch Mouatt's first game at 6.015am then a big one for Eve at 12.05pm v Sweden (assuming its still Anna Hasselborg) It's going to be great viewing for the next ten days.
Bully Wee Villa
British guy finished last in his speed skating race but through to final anyway due to shenanigans in from of him! Outside chance of a medal if there are more shenanigans/crashes.

He won his first world cup race this season which is maybe where the confusion lies. To give an idea of where he stands he's usually somewhere around 10th in the slalom world cup standings (a little higher this year thanks to winning a race) and has 4 career podiums. So he has a chance of a medal but probably more likely he doesn't get one than that he does.

Is this more equivalent to someone winning a formula one race but coming 10th in the overall driver's championship?
Mr. Brightside
He won a world cup event/race, but is usually like 10th or so.
