flyingscot
Gutted for them, but 2 best teams in the final and narrow margins. That last shot would have been superb had it worked.
Mark Connolly
I'm no expert, but Sweden seemed to play pretty well, was always going to be tough to beat them
Donathan
Tough to grudge Edin his gold after a lot of near misses. These guys are a young team. They’ve got at least two more Olympics in them and the other top teams in the world are all coming to the end of their careers. I think we’re going to be hearing a lot more about curling in the mainstream media going forward.
Lurkst
Left a miracle shot to win it. Great tournament from Mouat's team though Didn't realise how elusive Olympic gold had been for Edin, fair play.

Mouat is world number 1 and he’ll be back.
Donathan
It’s quite funny but silver is almost the worst medal to win. If you get the bronze then you use up the disappointment in the semi final but then you get the elation of winning the 3rd place playoff to earn your medal. Silver just feels a bit empty.
DeeTillEhDeh
You can't begrudge Edin's rink that win.5 times world champions and 7 times European champions - this one had eluded them in their previous 2 Olympics (Silver at Pyongyang and Bronze at Sochi). They deserve it over the piece.
Bully Wee Villa
Sweden just didn't make any mistakes. Similar to the mixed double playoff against them. At least this time GB did well to make it competitive. Edited February 19, 2022 by Bully Wee Villa
Donathan
If you’re looking for an omen for the women, Edin wins gold at his 4th and likely final Olympics after three near misses (4th, 2nd, 3rd). Eve is also at her fourth and likely final Olympics after three near misses (7th, 3rd, 4th)

Muirhead is 31.

Muirhead is 31. Jones shouldn’t have been picked, Canada whiffed a bit on that one. They’re pretty wedded to the idea that you need to hold an Olympic trial and select the winning team of that but the risk is that a team (in this case Jones) win it thanks to a strong performance that particular week even though they don’t give you the best chance to win a medal. Kerri Einarson has been the Canadian champion three years in a row and her rink should have been chosen. The reason I don’t think we’ll see Eve in Milan-Cortina isn’t because of her age per se but like Niklas Edin she’s had a lot of injuries in the past few seasons and it’s tough to see her still being our best option in four years given that we have some decent young skips who could be ready to play with this tailor made rink (Vicky and Hailey are both slightly younger and Jen Dodds, whilst she is 30, has only recently become a full time curler so her body might have a bit more in the tank compared to Eve who’s been full time for over a decade). Like I say it’s not impossible by any means that Eve is back but I’d lean towards it being her last games, especially if she wins the gold and decides to end on a high.

Donathan
Sweden have the red stones in the bronze medal game and Switzerland having the yellows is really annoying me.
